thank you note question

so heres the deal..
i originally was planning on sending plain thank yous - ones that match my invite - to everyone and for the family and close family friends i was going to include a picture of us from the wedding..

so now i have all my thank yous all done just waiting to be sent out.. its been two months since my wedding.. i dont have my proofs yet and the way its looking i dont think i'll get them this month..

should i just send out the thank yous without the picture at this point? or wait since i've waited this long already?

side note: i've already sent out the thank yous to our friends and coworkers..

i just hate staring at that box!!

TIA!!

what does your contract say about when proofs will arrive? If they're late, I'd harass them to complete them, and then insist on a quicky printing of the TY card pic.

if you think your photographer is a delinquent, and somewhat beyond hope in the punctuality dept, then send them out w/o the pic

I was being pressured by family to get the TY's out ASAP too, but did manage to get the pro card printing done within 5 weeks of the wedding.
Cards were out within the following week.

Re: thank you note question

i used 12th night and it takes about 8-12 weeks from what i remember... andi ran across a recent post and there are July brides who have yet to get their proofs!
i fear complaining because i want the touch up process to go smoothly...

so i'm just concerned it may take longer since some July brides still have to get theirs..

ugh.. wish someone had a good photo of DH & I and i could call it a day!

Re: thank you note question

i just chose one and they printed those out for me only... wallet size for thank you's.

at this point, since you don't even have your proofs, if you have the digital images, i would pick one and have them print just the wallet sizes for the cards.

or upload a digital pic you might have gotten else where and do on snapfish or shutterfly, etc.

I prefer receiving a timely thank you with NO picture, rather than waiting weeks and weeks for one with a pic.
