Thank you to LIWeddings......my obssession....

has now caused me pain in my neck....I have a PINCHED NERVE!!!!

no, seriously....i've been in some serious pain for like a week now...it got progressively worse...so i went to the chiropractor on Monday and tonight (just got back) we went over my xrays and I have a pinched nerve in my neck.... & your neck is suppose to curve in the direction a bannana curves...yea mine is going in the opposite direction and doesn't have a curve (super!)....plus I have a rotated pelvis....& the rest of my spine is all sorts of twisty (which most peoples are...no one has a perfect spine).....

I swear it's from sitting at a computer all day (LIW!) and from all the cheerleading I did in HS & college....

anyone ever go to a chiropractor religiously? This is only my second time going and I have to tell you I really loved it.

Devon, I have pretty much the same thing!!! I woke up one night around 3am, DH got up to go to the bathroom and I moved and OWWWWW! I never felt pain like that before. I even went to work like that the next day! It hurt to do ANYTHING. So i started the chiropractor- was going 3 times a week, then 2, now I'm down to 1.

He tells me the irregular curve in my neck is something I've had for a looong time- probably 15 years or so. He wondered if I did gymnastics- which I didn't - it's supposedly a common injury for gymnasts. Anyway, I think it's due to the way I sleep. He told me the pain I felt that day was just inevitable...and thank God I haven't had that pain since. but I definitely notice my neck alot more than I used to and now I realize it always was a problem!

I'm totally addicted to the chiro! Although I am getting tired of going weekly...and now my chiro is moving to another office which will be a real pain...

Isn't that wild that we had the same problem?!

Sorry you're in pain Devon - I am a big fan of chiropractic treatment - I've been tons of times for various treatments and it always made me feel better. I hope you start getting some real relief soon! Also, I might be reading into things, but I recall you saying you have problems with headaches. A lot of headaches are caused by neck issues - if this is an injury that's been building for a long time (like since HS) you may find that you get less headaches once you're getting better.

But uh, be careful with all the freakiness post PP - you don't want to strain anything

i've tried acupressure (quack!), a chiropractor, acupuncture (got me through my wedding day!), an orthopedist who prescribed physical therapy (didn't help), a neurologist who gave me oral steroids (that helped a bit), and now i'm just on an anti-inflammatory.

it caused pain and numbness and tingling all down my left arm, and into my fingers ... and is only now starting to feel a little better after the steroids.

sometimes a heating pad gives me some relief of the pain ... and in a really bad spot, ice will sometimes help to numb the pain a bit.

i FEEL your pain, i really do

YES.....I had mri...xrays & that horrid emg.....I thought I had carpal tunnel like a year ago & that's when they did the emg...(which we are both well aware of is like a form of torture)

I'm glad you liked your chiro experience makes me feel positive about going 4x a week!!!! but mine is open at 8am...so I'm getting my lazy a s s out of bed earlier and going then.

thankfully my insurance (god bless microsoft) covers 24 visits...or else I don't think I could afford to go!!!

OMG!! I had the same thing -- I woke up on Saturday with a stiff neck and it got worse by Sunday -- maybe it is the LIW obsession -- sounds like we all have it

Love the chiropractor though -- they always make you feel so much better. Haven't goen in a while -- maybe it's time to go back
