Re: Question

I honestly believe change is always a good thing. A professor in college told me that once you feel comfortable in a situation, it's time to make a change, no matter how happy you think you are. I try to think about that any time the option arises and take a little risk I might not otherwise have tried.

Re: Question

If this means you can get out of that job where they COME NOWHERE CLOSE TO APPRECIATING YOU. . i say do it!!

Sometimes even lateral moves can be amazing if there is room to prove that you're capable of so much more!

I just feel like you have so much power and strength in you and if this is a chance to show it - you should go for it!

Of course I don't really know what you're talking about so if my answer makes no sense then ignore me!!

Re: Question

Honestly, I'd love more of a challenge at my job. I'd definitely take the opportunity. You're not going to be doing any worse than you are now, right? Might as well give it a shot!

Re: Question

I'd make the change. The worst that can happen is that you hate it and then you're in the same boat you're in now. Of course, you might end up loving it and the people surrounding you on a daily basis.

Do it while you're young -- change only gets harder the older you get.

Re: Question

I would make the change. Happiness and job satisfaction are very important to me. I quit my job and went back to school to get my PhD at 29 when all my friends were getting married, buying houses and having babies...Do not let fear hold you back

Re: Question

My mother always told me: The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

So unless this new opportunity will be life changing, how do you know it won't be a worse situation?

Good luck with your decision!

Thanks everyone...there were some developments since my original post which made things a little more palatable...after some discussions, the decision has been made and it's a go
