Does anyone watch this show? I have always liked it but dont watch it every single season.

However me and DH are thinking about applying to be on it!!!! I missed the last deadline but maybe next year.

DH wants to go on this soooo bad. I told him he better apply with his dad because he would KILL me. I do not consider myself 'strong' enough to be on this show. Emotionally or physically!

You should go on it! It would be so great to watch you!

Both years that I looked into apply I missed the cutoff by like a day....dumby me

only downfall is you have to take off 30-40 days of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do they get stipends to be on the show? I always wonder about reality tv...like the girls on the bachelor...how do they take off so many days?

only downfall is you have to take off 30-40 days of work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do they get stipends to be on the show? I always wonder about reality tv...like the girls on the bachelor...how do they take off so many days?

They must take a leave of absence, unpaid I would imagine - or they build up their vacation days for years and then leave?? I mean, if you apply and get on the show, you probably don't have to take off for a year -- or more, depending on how many shows are already in the queue, right?

I LOOOOVE THIS SHOW!!!! and have been watching it for a long time, since first season but i did miss a few seasons. I got DH into it now and he is hooked.

I want to go on this show SOOOOO bad, i told dh we have to apply for it BUt i said first we need to train for a bit lol, i havent worked out like the way i used to so need it lol.

You should definitely apply, just send in a tape now bc seasons start one after another and even if you don't get on the next one, you can get on the one right after.

DH would do it, but he is so competitive and oh god if im the one who would mess up i can only imagine lol but im the same way too so its ok. I am good with pushing myself to keep going even if im tired physically or mentally drained.

But i think this would be such an amazing experience, to see all those countries and do those challenges, definitely an experience of a lifetime

hmmm dh might be able to take off that long, not 100% sure. He has 3 weeks vacation but will go up to 4 weeks just forgot when. But he might be able to ask to do this and get the ok. But that is just him, so doesn't help me lol.
