the flip flop topic made me think....

One of my biggest phobias is walking barefoot. I NEVER EVER do it!! Even in my own house, I wear slippers, flip flops or at the very least socks all the time.

Walking around barefoot skeeves me out. If DH really wants to get to me, he'll hide one slipper. Once we were in Disney and I woke up in the morning and my flip flops (which I put right by the bed) were across the room! He thought this was the funniest thing in the world and he was just sitting in bed watching me try to reach them without letting my bare feet touch the floor.

I know I suffer a bit from OCD but I think everyone does. So what's the 'thing' you do that other people might think is strange?

I can't touch napkins. I can touch my own, while I'm using it, but after that I can't, and I certainly cannot touch anyone else's!

When I am done eating I always put my napkin on my plate. When people eat off of that plate it skeeves me out MAJORLY!

I think I have too many to list but I will try



After I walk into my apt I take a Clorox wipe and clean the bottom of my shoes. I almost feel like if I don't the grime and germs will become so much that it will grow and eventually end up on my feet.



If I'm drinking something and the ice has totally melted and its starts to get warm. I cannot drink it. I need a totally new drink.


If I touch a garbage bag...like just the handle I feel like I just jumped into it and have to wash my hands.


When DH & I are out to dinner I cannot have any of my silverwear touch the table....if it does I ask the server for a new set.


I hate bars or restaurants that don't have straws and always have 1 or 2 in my bag b/c I don't like putting my mouth on the glasses.


I have to rinse everything that comes into the fridge. People at the supermarket touch things with their dirty hands and then may not buy it and put it back.




Okay now that I am officially the OCD psycho. I'll stop typing.

If we order take-out, I can't eat it in the dark. Like if we order Chinese or pizza and rent a movie, the lights have to stay on while I'm eating. But if DH or I cooked, the lights can be off. I just need to make sure there aren't any weird things in the food.

I can't look at clusters of really small circles. Like pictures of insect eggs or honeycomb. I literally will gag and heave if I see that.

I have to pee a lot. Like, anywhere I go, as soon as I get there, I feel like I have to pee. Like I'm an excited dog or something

I never let my untensils hit the table when at a restuarant & i have to clean them myself before use. I also never drink from teh glass. STRAW please.

I never allow anyone to use my pen. I have seperate pens in my office for people.

I have to clorox wipe my entire office before i use anything in it & its my office. lol

I never touch a garbage pail or bathroom door handles or toilet flusher or sink knobs without a clorox wipe hand wipe or at least a napkin. NEVER!

I always have hand wipes in my bag & antibacterial at all times & i constantly wash my hands.

Im def OCD!

I'm not too bad...I always have to have my purse with me. In my purse I always have antibacterial hand wipes, advil, excedrine, immodium, tums, kleenex, band aids, chapstick, my perfume, lip gloss, bottle of water...Basically my Speedy 35 is full up at all times. That's the extent of my OCD.

I have to wash my feet in cold water before going to bed every night.

I will not anyone sit on my bed with 'street clothes.'

I know I have a ton, I can only think of one right now because I just did it We have two night tables on either side of our bed and if the bed doesn't sit within the exact same space on either side, I have to fix it. Like right now, I said ~oh no, we can't have this! and I had to get up and fix it.

Barefoot doesn't bother me, but walking in socks does. Especially on a rug, OMG I hate that feeling, it gives me the chills. I could never sleep in socks and I had to break DH of that because even sleeping next to him with his socks on makes my skin crawl.

I can't drink out of anyone else's drink or eat off someone's fork. Even my parents. My mom gets so upset by this... I gave birth to you, you can eat off my fork. DH is the only guy I have ever been with who I would share with and that took years, even though I made out with guys, I couldn't share a fork or drink. Even DH I prefer not to, but will.

I have places for everything in the fridge and labels must be facing front. DH messes it up just to annoy me sometimes

I also have a very specific shower routine. If for any reason something gets done out of order I don't feel clean.

DVD's all must be in alphabetical order.

And last but biggest one. I am completley digusted by hair once it's out of your head. I cannot clean my own brush, DH has to do it for me. I gag and have actually vomited when I've seen clumps of hair.

This is me. Exactly. Whenever DH and I are taking a long drive somewhere, he won't let me drink anything! Yet somehow I still have to go. I really am like an excited dog at all times lol.

your last two....are EXACTLY my DH. i read them to him and he was like 'see!! im not weird'

i have issues with the 'ends' of food. when i eat fries, whichever piece im holding i usually dont eat and i just put it back in my plate. Same with chicken fingers, i never eat the end. its mostly because i dont like anything that is slightly overcooked or burnt

the shower curtain has to always be closed. it irks me when its pushed open.

i am a compulsive list maker. i make a list and then rewrite it all day long. if i mess up, i start over. if i cross something off, i make a new one. sometimes i just make new ones cuz why not?

ETA: DH just said im weird because when we go out i lock every window and door as if we are fort knox. i dont think thats weird however, i think thats safe

Wow, this is crazy! I have never heard of anyone else having this and everyone thinks I'm insane!! Mine isn't limited to small circles, though, it can be just dots, too...When I saw the diagram of the spray gunshot wounds on that guy **** Cheney shot, I almost threw up. I'm seriously going to send this to my family to show that I'm not the only one!!

ETA i love how it blocked out the ex vice president's name!!

You're not the only one!! DH's childhood friend used to do this, he called them 'handles' !!! To this day, DH will say something about handles if I leave the end of a chicken finger or something.
