The house has HOW MANY bedrooms?!

DH & I noticed that a house near us is for sale.

I looked it up online to see if there were pictures ... its a cute little house from the outside, and the price is pretty reasonable too.



But my jaw dropped when I read the listing and found out it has ....




































wait for it ...































ONE BEDROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good starter house to get yourself into the market

Can you build on it? If so, that's a plus!

It does have a finished basement w/ two rooms down there.....can't include that as a 'bedroom' on the listing though even though there is one down there.


but I do agree that it makes you go

I was expecting it to be something like 10 bedrooms.

That would be perfect house if you didn't like house guests .

Jess, I hear you!!!! LOL.... we keep getting 1 nd 2 bedroom houses in Nassau on our miniscule budget.... su cks, doesnt it?

we're now looking in suffolk where we're going to get a lot more for our money.

actually, if that were down here at that price, it would be a STEAL! I am so not kidding. That exact same house would be listed for at least $499k. we're never going to arford to buy down here.

the house is adorable.....but not for almost 400k!!

thats funny you say that---cause forbes like 2 wks ago released the top 5 cities in america where according to the average income vs. the average house price---residents could NEVER afford to live there.

Its true, those are definite positives .... I'm not good at focusing on the positives! I don't think it would be a bad house if we were our parents age and wanted to downsize ....

I just really want to find a house that we don't *have* to build an extension on to start our family one day, ya know?

it is in western nassau county, but its still a good 30 minute train ride to penn station.
