We went for a friends bday... 6 of us. it was AWESOME! seriously one of the coolest experiences at a restaurant

the drinks are off the charts but pricey.. around $10-15 each

we did like a prefix meal, it was a 4 course meal- appetizer [the cheese fondues], salads, entree & dessert [chocolate fondues]

HOLYYYYYY lord just wait. its AWESOME AWESOME and delish! be prepared to work for your dinner you're basically cooking it yourself.

ended up being about $120/ couple which was actually pretty good considering the amount of food we got & also the price of drinks...

HAVE A BLAST!

I wasn't thrilled over it.

I would go back for appetizer and dessert fondues- but the entree wasn't worth it, IMHO- alot of food- but you need to cook it yourself (which I guess was part of the experience) and its overpriced.

TIP: Do NOT sit down wind of the fondue pots! I made that mistake and my bag and jacket smelled like Mojo broth for days- it was so strong and smells good at first, but I was gagging on the smell when I got home!

I guess it is kinda like Hibachi, where you smell for days.

Re: The Melting Pot...???

The Melting Pot is Beyond exceptional, My Husband and I went for Valentines day with our Maid of Honor and her Boyfriend, its an experience thats for sure, different, and make sure if you go you do the 'Big Night Out' - Its a full four course menu, its a must. My husband is pretty much a surf and turf eater every place we go to, he was open to the experience of the melting pot, and he loved it too....I have never been that full in my life, I left there so uncomfortable is essence of being too full that it was ridiculous, so pace yourself. Its yummy, the dessert is to die for.......It gets booked up in advance so if you plan on going, make a reservation well in advance. As they were sold out for four solid weeks after valentines day. Its a place you all should try at least once, but I promise you this , once you go you will defiantly plan on going back again. We purchased three gift certificates so far to the melting pot for friends and family, they all loved it and cant wait to go back, its nice to go with at least one or two couples. Just keep in mind it is different and unique, so as long as you go with that thinking you should enjoy it. 'Happy Eating'

DH and I LOVE it!!!!!

Mushroom salad, garlic wine powder or whatever it is for the salad, green goddess dip/sauce (love making stuffed mushrooms with that), desserts and drinks...all SO good! we've always had such a fun time there.

pricier but worth it. have fun if you go!!!!

Re: The Melting Pot...???

So Sorry Girls, for Posting so Late.

Well, DH & I along with another couple went on Sunday to the Melting Pot.
(When I was Younger that used to be the Ground Round).
We had 8:15 Reservation.
We ended up waiting for 25 minutes before seating.

We ended up ordering the Cheddar Cheese Fondue with apples, bread, & raw veggies (carrots, celary, carrots, cauliflower)
That was soo Yummy.
My Fav. was the bread & Apples.

Then we had our salads.

For our Meal we ended up getting the Dinner for 2
We went MoJo Style.
Soo Soo Good!!!
I had Salmon & Shrimp,
and DH had Chicken, regular beef with sesame seeds & Filet mingon.
DH loved it also.
We cooked the fish for 1 min 30 sec
and the meats for 2 min.
It was Fun.

For dessert we got the Milk Choc. with all sorts of goodies.
Cheesecake, Brownies, bananas, rice krispies.

I was soo Stuff.
It is Pricey.
But worth the experience

I had to air out my coat, b/c I smelled worse than at Hibachi.
