The new WW program...anyone on it?
Thinking of going back to meetings to see what PointsPlus is all about...if you're on it, what are your thoughts?

Do you think that transitioning to PointsPlus from being Core will be easy for me? Fruit is now 0 points, right? That was one huge peeve of mine when I thought about going back to meetings when they had merged Core into Momentum (was that the name? I forget..)

Re: The new WW program...anyone on it?
ok i wrote it all out and liw fkd me in the azz again!u get more points... but foods are worth more. the factor in protein, carbs, fat, and fiber now.. NOT calories.
u get 49 extra freebie points.
fruits (except avocados) and most veggies(except potatos, corn) are worth ZERO. so u can eat all u want... in moderation
i joined last tuesday.. lost 7 lbs... but yesterday i had kfc and piopio so i gained back 2.
its cool.
i hate the calculator cuz i cant figure out point values as fast as the old calculator..so it looks like im po' in the supermarket .. like im adding to see if i can afford a fkn load of bread

I don't really know about the Core, so I dont know how transiting will be. However, I think you wil have easier than those you went from Points to PointsPlus.Pointsplus is eating alot of high protein foods. They have a thing called power foods (whole grains, fruits, veggies, etc). Pretty much very similiar to core foods.
I find its alot of healthier and a better plan than the old program. And its easy to follow.

Okay cool. Sold. Re-joining meetings
Thanks for the insight! Sounds like it'll be easy to go from Core into this.

Re: The new WW program...anyone on it?
It'll be a relatively easy transition for you Kris. You just have to remember that most of your old Core foods now have PointsPlus values...i.e. grilled chicken, skim milk, etc. But what WILL make it easier for you is the elimination of counting fruits and veggies.

I like it! I haven't lost 7 lbs my first week like Barb (Barb - please send me your weekly menu lady! you're my hero!) but I feel like I'm eating VERY healthy, people are already commenting that I look thinner and I'm feeling satisfied from my meals. All in all, A++

Re: The new WW program...anyone on it?
I've only been on WW since last Feb, but the new plan is ok. My brain knows it's better for me and it helps me make smarter choices, but my stomach is mad that everything I used to eat (for minimal points) is now worth more points. All the 1 point breads are now 2 or 3 points, and the 1 point ice cream pops are now 3! As a snacker, it was a bit harder for me to transition, but it's getting easier as I go along. I do love the free fruits and veggies though!

I was and I LOVED IT!!! the fact that veggies and fruits were 0 were awesome. I like that they took into acocunt carbs, fiber, fat, and protein and not just calories. I felt like I could eat A LOT and it helps make you have an overall healthier lifestyle. i loved it.will definitely go back on it in 9 months! I think you should do it.. I think you'll like it.
Oh, I also was losing in the couple of weeks I did it.
