Do any of you belong to LA Fitness? It looks so nice, I really want to join. I'm wondering how much it is though. On their website they have a free 3-day new member 'trial' pass, so I think I might do that. I'd love any opinions on it though, especially as to whether it's worth the money (I'm assuming it's pricy)...

crashing.. i go to la fitness. when we joined they had a special for the initiation fee..i think we paid 100 or 150 for FH and I, it was like a family special. i think normal initiation is probably 150pp. we py 49.99 a month and there is no contract. also if something happens and you cant go to the gym for a few months you can change your membership and its $10 a month til you go again

Thanks - I'm surprised it's not more than that - I actually paid a lot more when I beloned to NYSC!

I go to the one in new hyde park. IMO it is worth the $$$. It's nice, and clean and I've been there at the busiest of times and have always found a machine. Which one will you be joining?

I don't go there, and I personally don't like it, but I've only been to the one in Lake Grove and it is constantly closing due to problems. However, lots of people love it and it's def. a nice gym. You can negotiate their pricing though, at least at some locations. Def. try it out - the ones here aren't as nice as California, but they have like everything.
