They have signed the contract!

I just got the call. We signed the contract for the house on December 12th! They finally signed yesterday. With the holidays and all it held it up, but we were starting to get worried there! :) So, now its official we are in closing with a tenative closing date of February 15th! So soon!

after some home repairs the seller is paying for we are in the process of negotiating the contract too

did you manage to change the price at all - did you have any money put in escrow for things?

i can't believe dh and i were planning out our new house - and he was talking about Packing '!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were really no repairs that were needed, thank God. The minor things he is fixing, so we did not renegotiate the price. It was for sale by owner and in this market for what we looked at, we think the house was underpriced to begin with. 4 bedroom, 2 bath cape, all updated, in very nice neighborhood (poet section) of N. Babylon, for 299K? Move in condition!

Yes there is money in escrow in case things are damaged, I think that is standard! So details on your home, please!
