Things that piss me off at work

This is a vent because our air conditioning does not work and I am hot and it's friday and I want to go home.

1) A strange person who I have never met or maybe said hi to once grandmother passes and this big envelope comes out to put money in it. Sorry I am not chipping in money for flowers, I am not made of cash and honestly I don't know this person. If it the person was from my department yes i would chip in.

2) Even better we have to make funeral announcements on our email news blast about how so and so's mom died and to come to pay respects - um i wouldn't want strangers out my mom's funeral. Its a private thing not my job who has over 1k employees. Why announce it?

3) Birthday's - why do we skip some and have some for others. Our department (not the entire campus) has a bday today. So we are having a cake at our staff meeting. Well oddly enough me and one other person in this department never got a cake/card or anything but everyone else does. Sorry it is rude.

4) lunches - why is it people on Friday's take over their hour lunch and then come back and dump a TON of work on your desk after you barely had a half hour lunch and complain how work is not getting done.

Vent over - or you can vent your work stuff here as well.

1) why in the world would you walk to my desk unplu my phone and plug your in ???? asking would go a long way

2) Please dont answer questions a patient asks if you have no idea what you are talking about.

3) Please dont grab my arm or leg every time you laugh ...you have been here a week I dont know you please dont touch me

4) please dont act like you know me and tell me what I would like and not like

5) If you tell my children or the school nurse one more time that I am to busy to come to the phone I just might run you over

Yes - I have a ton.

-Monday mornings - at least 5+ people stop over to talk and chat about the weekend. Sorry but I am cranky in the mornings and do not want to chit chat as soon as I get in!

-Annoying coworkers - who come over every SINGLE day to chit chat. Ok if I am not looking at you and keep typing away...that means I dont want to talk. TAKE A HINT!

-More annoying people - stop by and stare at my computer and then make comments at what is up on my screen! Or actually whats more annoying is people who stop by EVERY day to see what I am eating. Then make comments about what I eat (usually something healthy). Ok I dont need your stupid commentary every day. Its obnoxious. I dont do this to others in the office, why do they do it to me!

-Some people seem to take UNLIMITED amounts of vacation. Like ridiculous amounts...they abuse it. But god forbid I ask for a day off, or call out sick, I am asked 5433243255 questions about it!

-And yes the B-day thing is annoying. We are banned from buying cakes here but we still do gifts sometimes. No envelope though...just on our own. And bereavement is paid for by the company thank god.

its been 2 months since I have tried to transfer my old 401k over from ym old job. My old boss is taking so friken long to do it!!! He always flakes out on these things and now I am not there to just get it done. So I ahve to wait for him to do it. And he ignores my emails politly asking him about it!
