Its a very hard color to pull off I can tell you that much! i say stay natural, you natural color is gorgeous on you and I think that red may wash you out. Also remember that red is RED its not going to look dark and red when the light hits it-it will be RED

Maybe before out right doing it go to a salon and have them 'tint' it that color so you can see if you like it or not.

Re: Thinking about making another change

I LOOOOVE red hair and had it for quite a few years, and also did it last year. I am also thinking of going back to red. The only problem I have against red is that its hard to maintain. Red washes out more than any other color ans within 2-3 weeks the color is almost all gone, i had to maintain it alot more than I do with blonde hair. It used to stay but in the US they took out the chemical that keeps the red in your hair. Thats the only thing keeping me from doing it now. If you can get your hands on the european red dye then it would be worth it bc that really lasts. I might have to ask my grandmother to send me some or some family member. HOWEVER I STRONGLY STRONGLY suggest you get it done at a salon, ive seen alot of at home red dye jobs and it just looks real bad and can end up being a disaster.

ALso you dont have to do all red, i love when i see dark brown hair with chunky red highlights around the bangs and crown, that looks HOTT!!!!!!

Red hair is gorgeous, but like Denise mentioned soooo difficult to maintain. I tried for years, but gave up. Starting with really chunky streaks is a great idea because you'll get an idea of whether you like it and if you want to keep going and do your whole head. I say go for it!!!! And it would look hot with your eyes.

Uggghhh Now I want to dye mine red again!! Almost every time I go to my colorist, I bring it up and she talks me out of it. If it weren't for the constant maintainence, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

go for it!! i usually have my hair a shade of red, and can't imagine ever not having it red. the only bad thing is that it fades quickly. give it a shot! if you don't like it, you can always change it back.

you have beautiful hair, i would leave it alone. As others have said, red is very hard to maintain... maybe some highlights framing your face , but once you start dying your hair ( like i have for way too long) it can become thinner, brittle ect. Your hair is soooo nice, i would either leave it or just add some hightlights
