DH just called me on his lunch break to tell me the layoffs have begun. They are laying off 6 people this week. The boss called DH into his office to tell him he spared him from a pay cut for the next few months because he works so hard and he is newly married and didn't want to do that to him but that a pay cut will be likely in the near future. At least he has a job. When will the economy turn around, I am sick of bad news.
I am happy he has a job. A pay cut will hurt us for sure but I am not getting that crazy about it. I feel bad for everyone who is getting laid off. Hopefully it turns around soon.
That stinks!!! I hope the pay cut doesn't last long!
Aren't we supposed to keep spending to not make it worse? I mean clearly you can't if you've been laid off, but isn't that what makes an economy thrive?
