I never did this before but I couldn't take it. Last night this car alarm was going off for over 2 hours, it was driving me nuts. I also felt bad bc dh went to bed at 10pm since he had to wake up at 5am and he couldn't fall asleep bc of it. Well finally around midnight I called 311 first, I told them the problem and asked if this is something I can call the cops about, they put me through. I said it wasn't an emergency obviously, so if somebody has time to come regarding this. The only reason I called too is bc years ago i remember somebody else called the cops regarding a car alarm, it was the craziest loudest car alarm i had heard that was going off for 4 hours, the cops showed up so i guess somebody called them. They looked up the license plate and saw the address and rang the person's bell. I'll say that I was so shocked when i saw where the person lived, it was RIGHT in front of where the car was parked, how did they not hear, they said they didn't realize it was theirs . Ok so anyways, the alarm had been going off for 2 1/2 hours last night, i call the cops and after I called it stopped its one of those things where i said yeah watch now that i finally called this alarm is going to stop going off and it did, just my luck. I don't think they ever came though.
BUT the alarm started going off again this morning and still going off constantly. I am gonna write a letter and leave it on their car, this is ridiculous and happens ALOT. This car is also parked soooo close to the fire hydrant. I really hate people sometimes.
Ok thats my vent of the day lol

That is crazy and you know as soon as you go and call the alarm stops. Figures that is always the case. I remember when I lived in Queens and that would happen all the time I would never be able to fall asleep .
My recent vent are these kids that play in the parking area of my complex. The rule is they aren't allowed to. I wouldnt mind so much but they really aren't careful of cars pulling in and out they will just stand behind your car while you are trying to slowly back out. It took my sister almost 5 minutes just to back out one day and the best thing was the parents were standing there watching the kids. You think they would say something. To top it all off there is a sign that one of the kids made and put up that says 5MPH. You can tell by the handwriting. I am always careful to begin with and never speed around areas with children or parking lots. The day after that I see the kids playing soccer and using the garage as their goal. Okay not cool for the person that owns that garage and for the cars that kept getting hit with the ball. I finally went outside and asked them nicely to be careful and told them they were hitting cars. I am thinking about writing a letter also. Wow I feel like such an old and mean lady. Sorry Denise that I rambled on I can see where you are coming from.

He has his little ricer that he thinks he is so cool in, but my problem is that whenever he comes home he has the music on SOOO loud, he has some system hooked up but what he and many others don't realize is that it can sound like crap, all i hear is the fuzzy bass pumping. He comes home late at night and seriously just sits in the car and at midnight-1am he has his music blasting so loud, he is so rude and don't his parents say anything lol. Even when he does it in the daytime it annoys me, he has it on abnormally loud and he'll just sit in front of his house with the car and music blasing and his friends come over and they all just stand around the car and stare at it. He is such a little herb too lol, get over yourself, your car and sound system aren't that great

That is so crazy to me, why would parents let their kids play in the parking lot oh yeah let me let my kids play in a parking lot where cars are constantly coming in and out of have they never heard of a park, might be a little better for soccer. I know i feel like an old lady complaining about the teenage kid blasting loud music. But i never sat in front of my house blasting loud music, even when i was a teenager. I blast music when i drive, i do this even now lol but i dont sit in front of someones home when i do this lol.

red lipstick, i was thinking more like a brick and what puzzles me is that this persons car is so banged up, the front looks like acid has been dropped on it and has huge dents all over it. Why are you the one with the most sensitive car alarm

LMAO. I remember once when I was in school, I came home and parked in someone's driveway bc there was no parking. When I can out I had a 'nice' note on my windshield in RED lipstick. I had to go straight to the carwash I was so p'd off. Now I look back at it and laugh.
Its always the hoopties that have the most sensitive alarms, the club and all the other stuff to prevent them from getting stolen. Hello!!! No one wants it.

I remember when growing that teenagers were always infamous for sitting on other peoples cars too. How annoying my friends would do it and I would get so mad at them.

lol thats so funny. I also had someone leave a note on my car once but it was ridiculous. I parked in a parking spot that was legal to park there. The note said that next time i should leave more room for another car to park instead of taking up a whole parking spot. So after i read the note i look at the spot and realized this person is insane. I was parked as close as i could get to the end of a driveway so right where the spot would begin, not only that, NO other car would fit in that spot, its not meant for 2 cars. Maybe 2 real small cars but i had a truck at that time. I was so mad an wish i knew who wrote it stupid idiots.
I also have neighbors that monopolize a parking spot. This spot definitely is enough for 2 cars, but the very moment a car leaves, the pull up their car and take up the whole spot, they park just right in the middle and take up this big spot and now nobody else can park there. Its dh's favorite spot too so he gets SO mad, and now he tries to monopolize that spot whenever he can. When they leave and its empty he takes up the whole spot. He gets so happy when he does this too.

OMG i hate when kids sit on someones car. I remember one time there was this stupid young teenage girl on my car and all these guys either leaning on the car and hanging out. I was walking to my car and got so mad. The moment i got close to my car i flipped out screaming at them to get the F*CK off of my car.

That is the most annoying sound ever!! When I lived on the UES my window faced the street and there was a parking garage across it. Alarms were always going off! It was beyond annoying! I ended up buying this really loud fan to keep on at night to drown out the noise- but alarms were hard to drown out!
ETA: Car alarms are stupid. 90% of the time the person whose alarm is going off doesn't know it. And most of the time alarms are set off from things non break in related. Its like they were invented just to disrupt the sleep of strangers!

OMG Monopolizing spots!!! There is this lady on my block that has 4 cars!!! we have alternate side parking on Mondays and Tuesdays so she parks taking up 2 spaces with each car so that when she comes come she always has a spot. I come home tired from work and school to spend 45 minutes looking for parking. She is really friendly and all but one of these days I think I am going to flip. So being the child that I am When I leave the house to go out I will take hubby's keys and mess up her parking so when I come back I have a spot. Yes, I know its not the grown up thing to do but those 2 times I have done it felt GREAT.

yeah i put the AC on last night for DH but you could still hear it, not as bad of course but still. WOw that must've been even worse by a parking garage
I KNOW thats the worst part. What if something was happening, nobody would ever know bc nobody pays attention to their alarms its so pointless.

she is wrong though, i dont think people should monopolize a parking spot so they can park another car of theirs later. I would leave an anonymous letter on her windshield. I just can't do these type of things. My dad went away for 6 weeks to europe and since he doesnt have a garage, he asked me if i can take his car while he is gone so he wont get tickets when its alternate side parking. So on days when it was alternate side parking i had 2 cars to move, which got annoying since finding just 1 spot is hard but i didnt even think of monopolizing a spot.
OK WOW i am so glad i am talking about this bc i almost forgot that i am not parked on the right side of the street, and today is alternate side parking it just hit me now when i was talking about this lol. Luckily its at noon
