I never did this before but I couldn't take it. Last night this car alarm was going off for over 2 hours, it was driving me nuts. I also felt bad bc dh went to bed at 10pm since he had to wake up at 5am and he couldn't fall asleep bc of it. Well finally around midnight I called 311 first, I told them the problem and asked if this is something I can call the cops about, they put me through. I said it wasn't an emergency obviously, so if somebody has time to come regarding this. The only reason I called too is bc years ago i remember somebody else called the cops regarding a car alarm, it was the craziest loudest car alarm i had heard that was going off for 4 hours, the cops showed up so i guess somebody called them. They looked up the license plate and saw the address and rang the person's bell. I'll say that I was so shocked when i saw where the person lived, it was RIGHT in front of where the car was parked, how did they not hear, they said they didn't realize it was theirs . Ok so anyways, the alarm had been going off for 2 1/2 hours last night, i call the cops and after I called it stopped its one of those things where i said yeah watch now that i finally called this alarm is going to stop going off and it did, just my luck. I don't think they ever came though.
BUT the alarm started going off again this morning and still going off constantly. I am gonna write a letter and leave it on their car, this is ridiculous and happens ALOT. This car is also parked soooo close to the fire hydrant. I really hate people sometimes.
Ok thats my vent of the day lol

That is the most annoying sound ever!! When I lived on the UES my window faced the street and there was a parking garage across it. Alarms were always going off! It was beyond annoying! I ended up buying this really loud fan to keep on at night to drown out the noise- but alarms were hard to drown out!
ETA: Car alarms are stupid. 90% of the time the person whose alarm is going off doesn't know it. And most of the time alarms are set off from things non break in related. Its like they were invented just to disrupt the sleep of strangers!
yeah i put the AC on last night for DH but you could still hear it, not as bad of course but still. WOw that must've been even worse by a parking garage
I KNOW thats the worst part. What if something was happening, nobody would ever know bc nobody pays attention to their alarms its so pointless.
All they are god for now is waking up and annoying people and for draining the car battery!!

yeah theres this young kid who lives across the street from, i hate him i really do lol he is so annoying. He has his little ricer that he thinks he is so cool in, but my problem is that whenever he comes home he has the music on SOOO loud, he has some system hooked up but what he and many others don't realize is that it can sound like crap, all i hear is the fuzzy bass pumping. He comes home late at night and seriously just sits in the car and at midnight-1am he has his music blasting so loud, he is so rude and don't his parents say anything lol. Even when he does it in the daytime it annoys me, he has it on abnormally loud and he'll just sit in front of his house with the car and music blasing and his friends come over and they all just stand around the car and stare at it. He is such a little herb too lol, get over yourself, your car and sound system aren't that great
I have a few herbs like that , i think it is a queens thing
i dont know why but that was so funny to me. Yeah its like seriously get over yourself, he is so small too I think i can take him

Do you live in my neighborhood?? The kids around here will spend triple the price of their cars on rims and systems. Sorry but the loud systems is sooo 90's to me,

i hate those kids with ricers too, and those wings in the back of their cars look SOOOO stupid. I once got annoyed by these little teenage boys on the highway who thought they were so cool, so i had to race them for a little bit and beat them lol. I normally am very against racing but i got so mad lol. Freaking little boys, you just started driving stop acting like you are the best drivers bc you're not. I don't even think their cars look good, looks so stupid to me

i live by forest hills too but I do agree that they are everywhere. The thing is that their system never sounds good, it can sound ok when youre inside the car but they fail to realize that on the outside all you hear is the bass and all you hear is the static not even the song. They dont realize they have to control the bass when they play it so loud but they think the bass sounds cool, no A**HOLE it sounds like crap and a ****** sound system
BTW: i had to go move my car bc of alternate side parking and I left a note on that person's car whose alarm went off all night. I feel better now lol
