This OLD house -Question

This OLD house -Question

So we put an offer on a Farm Ranch built in 1726 that is abandoned since March of 07'. It is seriously scary! BUT I absolutely love the old charm and character of it and it has Great Bones.

My DH and I are still Waiting if the bank will take the Short sale cash deal. The stupid house has a mortgage on it for more money than asking and what it is worth!!!

Soo many complications The taxes are soo incredibly low and there is 1.6 acres of land - eligible for subdivide.
By no means is this house for the average buyer - Thank God my DH is a private contractor!

I am soo aggravated b/c we still are in the dark about the deal. Is this normal for them to still not make a counter offer or tell us whassup?

Honestly I think we offered too much after realizing the cesspool is about to cave.
Maybe it is the 'Money pitt'
but I still want it bad!

If your dealing with a bank they 'usually' will take there sweet time. That in no way means you are not gonna get it. I guess some banks just don't view it as a priority. But don't give up. I really hope you get it. best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love LOVE love the dust

oh girls another strange thing is the relator wanted us to submit our Lawyers info to the Bank along w/our Bank recs as a packet.

We didn't do the lawyer part b/c of the added $$$ it would cost just to have them fill out any paper.

I fiqured it would be best to wait to first see if the Bank even will except the offer first. Make sense?

whats a short sale deal? Are these forclosure properties owned by the bank? DH and I are thinking about selling our apt and looking to buy a home...soo much to learn!

The bank might just be waiting to see if it gets any other offfers. It sounds like a tricky situation for the bank because of course they want to make back what's still owed on the mortgage, but that will never happen if the house isn't worth that much. Hopefully they'll accept your offer and just take the loss. Best of luck!
