Those of you who used Shutterfly, Vistaprint, or some other website for TY cards
Were TY cards included in your photo package and you just wanted to do your own? I kind of want to create a TY card with multiple pictures. I am a picture fanatic and being so much, including our STDs and invitations, were created by me, it only seems right that I do the TY cards as well. But our TYs are included in our photo package. They're just a basic card with our picture on the front. I don't know what to do. We already put in our picture selection for our TY cards with the photographer. Is it worth the extra money at this point?

I did them on Shutterfly because they weren't included!! My photog wanted $3.50 for the basic wallet cards- SOME NERVE!! So we did em on shutterfly for $1.50 a card!!

Maybe you could ask Tom if maybe he could substitute the TYs for something else in your package- like more pages in the album or something...that's what I did!

that sounds like a good idea.
my TYs werent included. I asked my photog to design ours and I chose 4 pics. She sent us the final design, which I uploaded to winkflash. Good quality and great prices IMO.

Ours didn't come with our photo package so I designed them and ordered from vistaprint.

Ours didn't come with our photo package so I ordered them from Shutterfly.
They had a sale on notecards right around the time I was planning to order - buy one package at full price, get 50% off the rest of them - so it was pretty reasonable!
If you can get them to substitute something else in your photo package, then it's worth it! I've gotten a lot of comments from ILs friends - a lot of them had never seen a TY with the picture on them like that - they've only received the inserts.

Ours come in our package....i havent turned in the pictures yet for it though

first i would talk to Tom...give him an idea of what u want & see if his graphic designer can do it..he may not charge u that much! Also, i'd talk to him soon. He stays pretty on top of things so if u gave him ur TY card selection he'll probably start the process! If in the end he can't do it, then see if he'll substitute in something else(ie: an extra enlargement or bragbook or something) and do what makes u happy

I def. wouldn't spend more. If you really want to make your own, then see if your photog. will give you something of equal value to your TYs.

We did our own in Photoshop and then printed them through zazzle.com for less than 2 bucks a card.
