Those who took pictures before the cermony,

Was it the same? Do you think it changed the moment of FH seeing you for the first time? I said we would do them before the cermony, but I am not sure, need your help. TIA

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

Walking down the aisle was totally different than seeing each other to do pictures.

I was hesistant to do pictures before hand but I am so glad we did! I don't feel like we could have gotten as great of photos squeezed into just 1 hour.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

It didn't for us. It gave us a chance to have a few moments to take it all in when we saw each other for the first time and I'll never forget what my DH told me he was feeling at that moment. I don't think we would have had that if we were in the midst of our ceremony. Plus it allowed us to be very calm and relaxed at the actual ceremony, and I still remember every moment of it.

But we are not at all superstitious, so we weren't concerned with all of the stuff about him not seeing me before the ceremony.

Good luck!

I agree!
We both cried, talked, hugged, kissed... the photographers and videographer got the whole thing on film

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

the videographer and photographer caught the moment and all of the important people (well, most) were there to witness it. it helped us a lot b/c we were soooo calm for the ceremony and really were able to be in the moment.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

It didnt ruin it for us either. It actually relaxed me before the ceremony and as others have said, when I walked down the aisle it was a whole new moment and it didnt matter that we already saw each other and took the pictures

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

Some of my favorite pictures from the day are the ones that were taken at our 'First Moment' that morning. We couldn't have possibly not taken photos before hand with our schedule. It doesn't ruin anything, it makes it better.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

instead of having one heartfelt teary moment, we had two. I cried at both times. It didnt ruin anything...it made it more wonderful.

And having the photos out of the way allowed us to enjoy every minute afterward without having to break for photos...as well as give our guests the convienence of having the reception right after the ceremony.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

Not at all, I enjoyed it, it was very intimate to have that moment with just your husband and Bridal party and groomsmen, away from everyone else, it was very special and my DH really summed it up when he said, the feeling he got when he watched me walking down the aisle was like no other, regardless of how we first saw each other before the ceremony.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

Seeing each other before the ceremony was one of the best decisions we made. We had a private moment caught by our photogs and videog and it was one of the most precisou moments of my life. I'm glad we were able to have that alone together instead of in front of all of our guests. It really didn't make the me walking down the aisle seem less important, but it made us much more relaxed. Another perk is that you get to spend so much more time together on a day that just flies by. Instead of seeing my DH just for the ceremoney and reception, I was with him from 1pm on.

Re: Those who took pictures before the cermony,

We took pictures before as well.... our photographer did a beautiful job capturing the moment we first saw each other and it was a private moment between me and him (and the photographer ) rather than in front of all of our guests. It helped me feel more comfortable walking down the aisle.... instead of worrying what DH would think of how I looked, I only had to worry about trying not to trip down the two stairs as I entered the room...
