Well I was talking to DH about our future and kids and such....so that leads me to my question
When do you want to have kids? And if you do, do you plan on staying at home with them or going back to work after your maternity leave?
Well I want to be able to travel and enjoy being married ,start/finish my MBA and buy a house so we are looking to have them in 3 yrs and I will be 31. I also plan on going back to work 3-6 months after. I really enjoy my career and I dont see myself as a stay at home mom. There is nothing against those that pursue that life but for me as a person I want to work. We are also lucky that DH has family that can take of kids.

We both want kids.... I want them soon... not right now but in a year or so... but I would welcome a surprise too! hehe! DH is funny.... he wants to wait until 2012 because of the Mayan calendar! He thinks the world is going to end and according to the Mayans it does. When I tell people that they just laugh. When we do have kids we discussed that I will be a stay at home mom.

My FH is very FIRM about 2012. He was forthcoming about that early on in our relationship. I still married him, lol. Glad I'm not alone!

According to the Mayan Calendar, the world ends in 2012! DH does not want to expose his children to this and if the world doesn't end that year then we're good to go.

Barbie- isn't it nuts? My DH is super catholic also. I don't get it at all. His Dad is all into this stuff also...like father, like son I guess.

I want them now and DH will go along with whatever I want since we discussed how my age will play a big part in it all.
We would have already been trying but I had surgery in Sept and am having another one in 2 weeks and that is causing a delay in starting since it is directly related to TTC. I am hoping that I will get the all clear from my Dr. before the holidays.

Its totally nuts! It seems like our DHs would get along really well! lol!! My whole thing is... I dont want to die not having a child if I can. I want a baby before the end of the world! Hiyaaaaaaaa selfish!

I always wondered about the 2012 thing! How funny!
We actually were planning on having kids in 2012...not for tht reason though! We just are estimating that this will be when finances start to work themselves out nd we can get a bigger place!

We are both homeowners, currently selling each of our places, and hoping to buy a house on LI by the summer.
I HOPE I can stay home for a bit...my mom was a stay at home moml, they say you always want what you grew up with.
No matter what I will definitely cut down my work hours after kids..

Move by me Jen! I'm on LI and I'm going to try to be a SAHM too!!
We are def trying to be preggers on our anniversary--Ideally I'd like to give birth in May...I know thats not always how it works so I'm going off the pill in May to give us a head start. Knowing my luck I'll end up prego instantly and I'll end up delivering in Feb! Blahhhhhhhhhh!
