How and when did everyone meet their DH and did you think when you met him that you would end up married??





I met dh in a bar in the hamptons with my bestfriend lol. It was labor day weekend almost 5 yrs ago and my bestfriend was trying to get over her boyfriend. we went out with the intentions of not wanting to meet anyone and just having fun lol. my bestfriend thought my dh was good looking and went up to him and his friend went up to me lol. 2 seconds later i was talking to my dh and we have been together ever since lol. the next day i knew something was very different about us and as corny as it sounds, i knew we would end up together!

i met DH at work. we both had taken jobs as paralegals right after college. im still at the same law firm now as an attorney! no i did not think we'd get married when we first met, but he did. 8 years later, here we are!!!!

we met at work...

both worked for edwards (now called stop and shop) and i was already working there when he started, and i also had a boyfriend...so for about 2 years we never talked...i went away to college and would work weekends, but then after 2 years, i moved back home and commuted to school, so i began working more, and i would talk to him and a couple of his friends that worked there that i hated being home and i missed the parties every night, so it was the summer of 2003 i began hanging out with his friends ( i still had a boyfriend, but was so over it cuz he was controlling and wouldnt let me do anything) so i hung out with them pretty much every night that summer, and i totally liked his friend!! but DH and me became more like best friends cuz i would talk to him about his friend, and how i wanna break up with my boyfriend eventually i did break up with my boyfriend, and still hung out with them, and meanwhile everyone swore we would get together, and im like NO WAY!!! i do not have feelings for DUDA Like that!! LOL

i remember one night we hung out at a bar with a bunch of our friends, and i took a picture of the two of us, and we were soo close, and i remember that night i wanted him to kiss me, but the next day when i looked thru the pictures i deleted them cuz i was like i cant believe i was feeling like i wanted him to kiss me! so i wanted no evidence!! LOL

lol he would always tell me how he always had a crush on me, all the time, and eventually we started hanging out one on one and then before you knew it i was in love!

DH and I worked together... when he came in for the interview I may have drooled a little bit. I was so excited when he got the job (even though I had a bf and he had a gf. ) He worked there for about 6 months and we were just friends, but then eventually we both broke up with our SO's (for unrelated reasons) and we started hanging out more. One of my friends at work had a BIG hand in finally pushing us together bc I think it would have taken us FOREVER for either one of us to make the first move otherwise! She got a special shout out in our wedding programs for that.

i met my fatthead on a gno. i was living with someone else/dating at the time. it was the end of our relationhsip. i moved out two days later. anyway my girls forgot to tell me guys would be coming with us. turns out one of the guys was fatthead. he was driving so i couldnt see his face. only his big assss head. when we walked into the club and we finally looked at each other i was like damnnnnnnnnnnnn im sooooo going to fcuk this guy.

i never thought it a million years i would be his wife. that was almost 7years ago

we met on myspace! i was bored one night and did a search for guys in my area and saw his profile, so i friend requested him. the next day he accepted and sent me a message saying 'no witty pick up line?' and i wrote back 'i didn't think i needed one' lol. he had only been signed up on myspace for 2 weeks at that time. then we started talking through email and AIM and a week later we met up for dinner. it was the best first date i ever had just because i felt so comfortable with him right away. the feeling was definitely different than what i had experienced before. on my way home from our first date, he texted me asking when he will get to see my smile again... obviously he felt the same way lol.

so yeah, i think i knew i would marry him when we first met!

Not at all! I met DH in a bar and I was at a really crappy time in my life and wanted to just be alone. I didnt know if I could handle a relationship at that time, but we took it slow and started eventually dating. Maybe a few months into our relationship I knew that he was 'the one'

DH responded to my personal ad online.

I knew within about three emails that we would click, and I knew within less than a month of dating that we'd get married.

Here we are, 3.5 years later.

LOL We met thru mutual friends however, i actually knew him before because he owns a pizzeria that me & my friends went to all of the time.

So when we met i actually told him ididnt like him. He came off very snobby & def i am not into that type. But then he apologized & made me laugh alot & then we became friends. Because i was dating someone already. When we finally broke it off he jumped right in & asked for my number. lol After that all of my friends kept saying r your dating the hot guy from Gigante's ??? lol lol Too funny.

Anyway we dated for 4 yrs before the Engagement.

I met DH during law school. We were in all our first year classes together and I hated him. He had a GF and came off as a a$$. Never in my life would I have thought we would even date let alone getting married.

We started talking one day about skiing and snowboarding and by Thanksgiving he got rid of GF and we started dating in December......its been 5.5 years

I was 14 years old and I was hanging at a friends house and her father goes do u guys want to go for ice cream and we said yes....When we walked to the car we saw a bunch of kids hanging on the corner and they go to my friend lara whose your friend, you guys should come hang out after . So we did (this isnt hte time i meet dh but he was there but I ended up getting with his bf at that time.....Time went on and we all decided to get a limo to hang in the city.....Well i was a **** lol and decided to get drinking and hot boxed from these kids and hooked up with 5 boys in the limo including dh.....After that he finally started talking to me and ask me to chill lol and then finally be his gf at teh age of 15....

Never thought I would marry him I was 15

We met almost 6 years ago at the Riverhead track. Me, my mom, and sister decided to go one Saturday night because we had nothing to do. Friends of my dads work on DH's car, so we were hanging by his car and DH came out and was talking to us and telling a bunch of jokes and that was it. A few weeks later my dad's friend came over saying that DH wanted to take me out on a date, I laughed it off and said no and this kept going on for over a month until I agreed for him to give DH my number so he could at least call me. I then agreed to hang out with him and it started from there.

I was really mean to DH in the beginning because I was getting a feeling as to whether or not I actaully liked him and if I wanted to be in a relationship. I'm shocked that he stuck around and I never thought we would get married.

I met DH when I was 15 and he was dating my BFF at the time. They broke up like a year later and I never really saw him or hung out with him. He was nothing more than my friend's ex-b/f. When I moved back from being upstate at college I moved in with my guy friend and DH happened to be his BFF. I couldn't figure out why DH hung around the apartment so much until one day we were alone hanging out, watching tv, and he made his moves!

When I met him when I was 15 I never in a bazillion years would've guessed I'd end up marrying him!

we met in college at a party When we first met marriage never crossed my mind.

I met DH the first day I moved to Ohio--he opened a door for me! We didn't talk, but we ran into each other several times after that...finally, he came up to me and asked me out. As soon as we started talking, I knew we'd be together for awhile...I didn't think about marriage right away, but here we are!

We met online.

He planned to move to VA in less than one month.

I told him straight out I couldn't leave LI.

Almost 5 years later, here we are. Both living in VA. I'm glad I followed my heart and not my closed minded brain.

DH & I met when we were 11! And I hated him!! So I absolutely had nooo idea that we would get married...

We lived down the block from one another (7 houses away) and he would pick up his sister from the bus stop when I would be picking up my neighbor's kids. The only reason he would pick up his sister was to see me. He always had a crush on me and I never gave him the time of day

Fast forward 9 years & we started dating

About 7 and a half years ago a friend approached me about this guy she met that she thought would be perfect for me. I told her I wasn’t interested because I just started seeing someone and it was getting kind of serious. She also mentioned me to the guy and he was willing to meet me. He also had a girlfriend though but their relationship was at the end.

A year and a half later… me and the boyfriend broke up. I was HAPPILY single… I went to a neighborhood bar that my friends go to and DH was there. I knew instantly who he was, without having ever met him.

I was doing a crossword puzzle and he came over to “help” me with it. We hung out that night for a while and then he left. He asked for my phone number and said he would take me to the movies. The movies never worked out but we did go out on our first date on a Tuesday. Upon talking to him things were just clicking left and right. I actually texted the friend who tried to get us together a year and a half earlier and I wrote “OMG I love this guy”.

We have been together ever since.
