tips on tips
How much should I tip my priest? If I'm giving a 'donation' anyway, I don't see why I should but if it's done, I'll do it.
Altar servers? Singer (she's the Church singer) and organist (same)?
Maitre 'd is $2 per person?
Do I tip bartender?
Do I tip bridal assistant?
Thanks in advance!

Re: tips on tips
Hi Mary..we didnt tip our rev because he charged us a fee and it went right in his pocket, he works for himself, sorry I cant help you more. the matr D we tipped 4 per guest, but thats only because he was AWESOME and we only had 90 people. I was told 2-4 per guest anyw ays.so you are right on track. We didnt have a bridal asst, but our bartender was part of our gratuity that was already included, we tip him alittle extra though as did a wonderful job, I doubt this helps you much we didnt have altar servers, but I dont think you tip them, I may be wrong though. Sorry Im not much help

Re: tips on tips
We tipped our organist $25 ( she also got paid directly through the church, but we gave her a bit extra because she did a good job)Priest- we gave him a Gift Certificate to dinner. We already made our donation and a chunk of it went to him)
Bridal Assistant we gave $150
Maitre'D we gave $3 per person
Bartender- Nothing, guests probably tipped them, plus they got money from the maitre'D

Re: tips on tips
The priest we gave $100.Nothing for the organist because the church charged us $225 so we felt that was sufficient.
The altar server was a required $20 tip.
Maitre d we tipped $500 for 110 people but we felt he went above and beyond.
The bartender had to walk out of there with a thousand bucks because my father was smashed and tipped him with hundreds he thought were twentys plus everyone was tipping him.
We gave the bridal attendant $50.

Holy cr@p!
Thanks for the suggestions! I will keep them in mind.
I figure:
$100 for priest because Friday is his normal day off and he's doing the wedding anyway.
I don't know about organist/singer. So I figure $50 for both covers it. Otherwise I'll ask at the rehearsal. Bridal Assist: $50 at the very least and $100 the most. I think I'm going to give the maitre'd $300 - $400 depending on service.
The bartenders - we're going ot have to tip because there will be alot of drinkers at this wedding.
Here's the thing though - my limo place told me $140 for one limo and $125 for the rolls. I think that's too much!!!
