To the ladies who had hair and makeup done at their house--

Did you tip the hairdresser and makeup artist if they came to your house, got paid in cash and were keeping the profits all for themselves (as in you didn't pay the salon, you paid the person directly)?
I need to know if I should tip or not!

I didn't tip either of mine because they work for themselves and get all the money and coming to your house is what they do.

Because both mine are solo vendors, I did not tip them for my trials, but I did tip them the day of the wedding.

Only the makeup person came to my house. I tipped her. But I didn't tip for the trial - it never even occured to me

my make-up girl came to my house and I tipped her because she worked for Clinique and came a far drive.

i didnt tip at the trials but i did tip both at the wedding - basically because they went above and beyond - my hair lady drove in from upstate the day before and mya worked in two locations for me
both did a fantastic job

nope, i didnt tip. i probably would have had she not been almost an hour late!

I tipped both for both the trial and day of. The trial was a small tip...bigger the day of.

I def tipped both of them, they are still providing a service whether or not it's all profit.

both makeup and hair were independent...but i tipped for trials and the day of. they were amazing and they made me look beautiful!

I tipped them because one of the BM's was a complete b!tch to them.

They worked for DH's uncle, so I felt obligated.

In retrospect, I tipped because the BM was nasty, but she's my DH's cousin, so those girls also worked for HER uncle...I guess I shouldn't have felt obligated to compensate for her bad attitude.
