I have quite a few

1) People who use the toilet and leave the cover up
2) People who do not wash their hands after using the rest room
3) women who run their hands thru their hair while you are standing behind them
4) People who drive and do not indicate
5) I cannot sleep with the bedroom door open
6) I cannot sleep with the closet door open
7) People who butt in to conversations
8) People who hit their hands when they are asking you for the time...LOL j/k
9) People who comes to my desk when I am having my lunch and picks out of my food w/o even asking, and it might be the same person who does not wash their hands from the bathroom..LOL

Oh Shamma, don't get me started....

Here at work all the girls have the same pet peeve -- the skeevy skanks who seem to not know that bathroom etiquette tells you to FLUSH the toilet when you're done and who DO NOT wash their hands before leaving the bathroom. Can you imagine what their house looks like? Skeevotz (sp?).

I also cannot stand when my boss (and every other attorney on this floor) just comes trotting up to you and starts babbling away like a brook when you're on the phone and doesn't bother to say 'excuse me' -- where were you raised? A barn?

I can't stand the idiots on my husband's block (and neighborhood for that matter) who DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE OR PARK!!!

Oh, the best is this -- I CANNOT STAND THE 7 TRAIN -- can somebody, anybody, please tell me WHAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE FOR BREAKFAST and what they wash with -- GARLIC, CURRY? WTF is it? I gag everytime I take that train -- and they also have no manners!!!

Geez, I'm on a roll here -- I have to be pms-ing, because this week everything/everybody is p***ing me off!

MY biggest one is when your in traffic waiting on line to merge or whatever, and your waiting there for like a year and someone comes flying up to the front and just cuts in!! I HATE THAT!!!!!!

I am dying laughing here, Shamma the closet door bothers you ? LOL. WOW im not that bad. I DO have to have DARK and QUIET when i go to bed.
DH can 'Wind down' with the light and TV on.

I can related to alot of what everyone said. Debbie skeevotz, that had me rolling ! People can be sooo gross. Ok, since i'm in the children frame of mind, does anyone agree with me, that its RUDE, DISGUSTING and inappropriate for OTHERS (Friends) to kiss your child on the mouth ! That IRKS ME SOOOOO BAD !!!!!!!!!! one of my close friends kissed my 3m old nephew on the mouth, i wanted to wack her sooo bad !! and she had lipstick on to top it all Off !!! OH THAT ONE BUGS THE CRAP OUT OF ME ! What makes you think this precious baby wants your lipstick and whatever you just ate or drank on his breathe, mouth, etc ??
YUCK YUCK YUCK SKEEVOTZZOO !! (and then what to say to them ?? 'uhm, cheek please ?'
I just beleive in the old fashioned CHEEK kiss, thank you ! I think for my own kids, i may do the mouth kiss, but i wasnt raised like that, so i just dont know. From parent to child, its different, but i dont want everyones saliva in my childs mouth. I really dont know how im gonna attack this one with my baby being ready to come out ! LOL.

Ok I have a few….I can not stand when people stop right in front of you while you are walking.
I also can not stand Overtalking, People who print a 1000 pages and then go to lunch and then I have to refill the paper…People who can not wait when they get on the train for you to get your stuff together. People who can not talk on their Cell phone and walk at the same time.

I have baby hormones going so I can give a long, long, long long list However, I won't. My biggest pet peeve is people who lie, or more specifically, people who give you a line of BS, whether it's a salesperson in a store or someone I know personally. I.e., with a store, if they tell you they'll have something ready for you Friday and then Friday it's Monday and so on...very annoying. I rather be told the truth from anyone than a line of BS.

One other one - cars that ride your bumper on the highway - especially the ones that can go around you easy enough, especially when you're not in the far left lane, that's pretty annoying too. It's like, God forbid you not be going fast enough to make them happy (and I don't drive like an old lady either that's the scary part)

edited to add: skeevotz hahahahaha - I haven't heard that one in years!!! we must be around the same age! We use to spell it 'skivatz' though hahaha thanks for the laugh, I needed it!!

Not a newleywed but I have a bunch...my biggest being:

People who open their giantic umbrellas during rush hour in midtown when ITS NOT EVEN RAINING!! Yes, the forecast calls for rain and its cloudy and it could rain any minute - but no drops are falling from the sky. WTF? Are you afraid you will melt if a single drop hits you?

I have to agree, I kiss babies on their hands or their cheeks...I don't like in the mouth thing at all...sorry sir.

The train is indeed a pet peeve for me, did you not know you were getting off?? did you not know you were getting on to prepare your fare??

The people that cut you off, after waiting in line forever is so mean. This happens on the FDR approach to the Bklyn bridge all the time.

I think the closet thing is my thoughts that there are monsters in there LOL

I do not have to have the lights on but the TV at least, to help me fall asleep

Another pet peeve, when you have lunch meetings USE DAMN UTENSILS WHEN SERVING YOURSELF, I don't know where your hands have been prior to touching the food

MSCLJK, do you work in Manhattan? Because THAT is an everyday happening, especially at lunch and trying to get to the train! I yelled at some poor tourists the other day, but too bad -- move it or lose it!!!! As for the paper, I just love when my bosses come over to me and say 'the printer needs paper' -- well HELLO, the paper is next to the machine, why the **** couldn't you put it in yourself instead of walking over to me and telling me to go in there???

Suzanne, that happens to me everyday on the wonderful BQE -- it's under construction (constantly) and it goes down to one lane, and these stupid idiots make the traffic worse by riding in the wrong lane until they can't go anymore. Not for nothing, but unless it's some biga$$ tracker-trailer, I don't let them in. I've never been flipped the bird more then this past year since I moved there, but too bad!! I say pffffttt to you buddy!

Anna, not only does kissing the baby on the mouth bug me, but what really gets me, call me weird, but I have a foot problem -- I cannot stand when babies/toddlers don't have socks or shoes on!! At least put socks on -- I mean in the house is one thing, but why can't they put socks on the poor kid outside? Don't ask me why that bothers me -- I guess because I don't like feet, but that's adult feet that skeeve me. I don't like when people put their feet on me, another pet peeve. I knew it was love when I let my DH put his feet on me!! LOL :)

OH, to get off the subject of pet peeves, but it relates to feet, I have to tell you guys what happened to me before I met my husband!! One night my 2 friends and I went to this bar and this guy starts talking to me and my friend. Now I thought he was a nut when he showed us his tattoo and it was, are you ready? FEET from above his butt all the way up to his shoulder -- feet everywhere, all intertwined like an ivy vine -- it was gross and I was totally skeeved. But the best is when he tells us that he wants to take both of us home, not to have sex or anything, but to tie us up and lick our feet!!! WTF, IS HE KIDDING ME???????? It took all I had not to throw my drink in his face, but when I started yelling, he ran!! LOL :) That still skeeves me and cracks me up!

Oh and Anna, I thought my DH was the only nut who had to fall asleep w/the light and tv on -- HELLO, it's bed time, why do you need the LIGHT on????? So who always ends up getting up to shut it off??? Me, another pet peeve!!!

Debbie, that TATOO story had me ROLLING !! THAT IS SICK !!!!!!! OH and you reminded me of a pet peeve of feet that i have, certain people in my family, have a tendency to PICK their feet, like when its OPEN TOE SHOES season, well they just pick their FEET as they are chatting and sitting on the couch !!! YUCK !!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL ?????

Oh and my brother has a habit of biting his nails and spitting them at random !! Im like 'excuse me, i just cleaned !!!' GROSSSS !!!

Oh driving, i hate when people cut me off for no apparent reason, and then slow down ! . a few months ago, road rage hit me, this 'tough guy' in a pickup truck totally cut me off on jericho, traffic was moving slowly, not my problem ! well he totally cut me off like WHAM. and so, I soon enough changed lanes to get away from him, and soon enough I was AHEAD of him, and i love making that statement 'so where did that get you ???' so i slowed my car next to his, waved him down, and flipped him the bird, and BOY did that crush the little 'tough guy' ego, cuz he was BEEPING behind me for a few secs. I LOVED IT. OK gotta stop this road rage, thats it, no more !


The subway stories had me dying too !! LOLLLL.
I sure dont miss the subway ! You become so defensive and tense in that environment ! Your TRUE New Yorker attutide comes right out !

A subway pet peeve of mine. When there is a little space next to you and a big butt lady thinks she can squeeze her big behind in to the little space And as the train moves she keeps pushing herself in more and more I just get up and give her the seat.

The toe picking thing is disgusting YUCK!!! the spitting the nails all over...double YUCK!!!

I know the feeling when someone cuts you off and gets no where fast...that is the best. Or the ones that drives you down, thinking you are going to go faster, when they see you are not moving they give up and go around. DUH!!!

Yes I work In midtown. I hate walking anywhere in this area...
I also hate paying $6.00 for an egg sandwich when i can make the same thing at home for .90

My company also gives us free coffee and I hate when people leave the milk container in teh fridge EMPTY!!! that makes me crazy....

I also HATE when people call and do not leave a message and their number shows up on my caller ID

Ok...this is the worst..I am on Weight watchers and so is my husband ... I hate when people say ..oh you can go off for one night, or this is a Points free meal...I am changing my eating lifestyle not dieting..it is soo annoying...and it has been happeneing all the time...

oh and why must everyone ask when are you having kids???????????
