7) I can't take a messy store, I hate a store that I have to dig around to find what I am looking for
8) I hate to wait for sales, if there is something that I see that I like, I have to get it now!!!!
9) I hate to be kept waiting
10) I am very compulsive about cleanliness!!!
11) Pee on the toilet seat

Hey Shamma, a lot of yours are mine!! LOL :)
And I agree 100% about the unmade bed -- if I'm home sick, I HAVE TO REMAKE THE BED or else I can't sleep!!!!! My DH cracks up at me, but I cannot sleep in a messy bed!!!! The sheets need to be nice and crisp and wrinkle free! I also can't leave the house with an unmade bed!!!

I can't go to bed w/dishes in the sink (compulsive neurotic me, 'dries' sink after I'm done washing the dishes -- my husband thinks I'm out of my mind, but I can't stand water spots on my stainless steel sink!)

I have to fix the pillows on the couch every morning before I leave, they have to be just right (my friend says it's a Pisces thing because her husband is the same way).

I have to clean my bathroom before I leave in the morning and again after I come home because my hubby comes home all greasy!

I think I have OCD because I check and recheck the stove and the locks fifty thousand times before I go to bed and before I leave for work!!!! It's beyond ridiculous the amount of times I check that!

I am constantly walking around with the windex and paper towels -- Joe says I go through more paper towels, tissues, napkins and toilet paper then anybody he's ever known, hey, I'm clean!! So there! That's the only thing my parents don't miss about me!!! LOL They
actually compare notes, the nerve!

I can't drive in a dirty car! Although I admit to slacking a bit since I got married, I'm constantly vacuuming and cleaning the windows. It makes me nervous, not to mention skeeves the crap out of me, to get in some people's cars with more garbage in it then a pail!!!

I can't stand a messy linen closet -- everything is neatly stacked and organized (can you say anal? ) -- but I'm not as bad as the wacko hubby in Sleeping With The Enemy (although I have to tell you, one of my friend's husbands is that way!!!)

That's all I can think of right now, but if Joe were here, he'd come up with a bizzillion more! He should talk!! LOL

I hate when:

People DRAG their feet when they walk

I unplug:

Everything in the house if I'm not using it..i.e. Microwave, Toaster, Blow Dryer

I also don't:

Go to bed with dishes on the sink

I always:

Hang out the bathroom towel for it to dry, never folding it.

Save every single leftover in the house and wrap it in tin foil, I think 'I'll use it or eat it later' ..p.s. I wind up throwing it out.

Make sure the ringers on the phones are lower so when we leave in the morning 'no one knows were're not home'

That's all I can think of for now

People ****ing their teeth.
Misspelled words on public signs.
When hubby loads dishwasher all willy nilly and then half the stuff doesn't fit, or its not in a position to get cleaned properly!
Chipped nailpolish.

(this is starting to sound like an extension of my pet peeve list!!!!! lol)

You ladies are funny, here I was thinking I was crazy, I am contstantly wiping, if my hubby sees something on the linoneum, he and our son bets how long I will let it go for before I pick it up

I like nice clean fresh sheets

I check and re-check the stove

I am glad to see I am not alone

I hate the picking of the teeth thing too

I can't wait to hear the other ladies

I cannot stand it when someone puts back a container in the refrigerator that does not have enough juice or milk to make a full glass...throw it away or finish it all already...LOL

I LOVE candles!!!! But have this fear of fire - so I will only burn one that sits on the stove because I feel its the safest place. Then will run in and out of the house like 5 times to make sure I blew it out!

Shamma- a lot of yours are also mine

I don't :
Throw wet towels in the hamper- I hang them in the bth until they dry ,then stick them in the hamper

like it when people drag their feet or snap their gum

leave the house with dishes in the sink

like piles of magazines or papers around.

like unmade beds..hubby makes it b4 he leaves for work. Gotta love him!

I Cant STAND smelly trash in the trash bin. Since this is Such a peeve of mine- I am the one who puts the trash out and puts it to the curb on garbage day.

I can't stand people who PRETEND to be sincere but are not

Make me nuts when :

People come over and let their kids put their shoes on your couch....ehem... or let them do ANYTHING rude and the parents dont say anything...

I go to my sis or moms house and wind up sleeping over and never brought a toothbrush !
I have a spare on at each house now !
(Sis has plenty of clothes for me as far as that!)

People are LATE. LATENESS is my pet peeve.
Especially if its more than once. You are on my SH## List if you cant be on time. Especially if im cooking dinner and you ruin the agenda...ooohhhh.

DH is dramatic. He has the sniffles and needs bedrest, soup, and TLC. I am a week past my due date and doing everything from laundry to dinner to cleaning like a maniac, LOL. and when I AM sick, I never let it phase me....I think just saying 'IM SICK' puts you in that state of mind. So I HATE when people OVERDO the 'sick' thing !

People overstay their welcome for the night. It will be a 'work night' and I am OBVIOUSLY tired and the 'night is OVER' and people dont know when to go home, and stay till 1-2am.....

****Out to dinner, when People order drinks, seafood, and all the hot items on the menu and then have the nerve to say 'uhm, so $85 divided by 3 ?' (divide the bill evenly) thats rude, plain rude. If DH has the shrimp and steak, which he does alot, he will ABSOLUTELY take out that extra $20.

I think thats all I have for now !

LOL....Anna you are too much...but I feel your pain

I hate anything wet in the hamper

I dry my clothes from the gym before placing them in the hamper

I do not like smelly garbage either ....PEeeeyouuu

I'm loving this topic and I'm glad to see I'm not the only neurotic one!! I think I'm going to print this out and show Joe so he doesn't think I'm the only one with these compulsions!!!

Definitely agree on the towel thing, the shoes on couch thing, the people who never when to leave thing, oh and Shamma, has my husband been to your house? Because that's what I wake up to every morning -- an empty container in the fridge left during one of his midnight raids!!!!!

Re: TOPIC OF THE DAY FOR 10/8/2002

I think my stepson is guilty of all empty containers in our home

There is one friend of my hubby, really nice guy, but he always comes over and never knows when to leave, I mean, I know our home is comfortable and what not but we have to go to work tomorrow. The other night he was over until about 12 am

OK this is a good one...
I have to call the house and make sure that the machine does not have messages so people think that we are not home.
I call my machine at least 2 timea a day

I also save all leftovers' that i might eat' and end up throwing it out..
Newspapers that become a pile.
Papaer towles and Toliet papaer that is put on the wrong way... it makes me crazy...

Anna with teh resturant thing...We have friends that we always make sure we ask what they are having so we order something in the same price range.. it is very annoying...

Speaking of toilet paper, here's another question:

HOW DO YOU HANG THE PAPER, OVER OR UNDER??

I cannot tell you what went on in my house everyday with that for about the first 2 months after we were married!!!!!!
