Over - definitely over. At a hotel on our honeymoon, I had to change the roll to 'over' (I know, I'm nuts).

As far as the pet peeves . . .
Dishes in the sink while I am cooking
Fingerprints on my coffee table (glass tabletop)
Gum cracking/popping
Chewing with your mouth open

I love this topic!

OVER OVER OVER !! DH doesnt even put it on the roll, he leaves the new roll sitting there on the sink! so i get dibs on it, i dont mind !

Oh funny, one since we're on the bathroom issue.
You either are a SCOTT tissue person or not.
Im more of a Charmin, Northern, SOFT TP person. DH swears by SCOTT. This is a never-ending funny debate we have. Whoever changes the TP puts the one they want !! LOLLLLLLLLLLL

oh and people that leave lights on all over the house. DH doesnt know to turn a light OFFFFFFF when not in use !! ARG...

Oh no, I can't come over to any of your houses. The toilet paper must be under! I hate over. Over is all wrong.

I must push in all chairs. I have been known to walk out of a resaurant and push in every chair that is within reach. Or walk into someone's kitchen/dining room and walk around the table to push all the chairs in.

I will not eat food on a stick. I will order something on a stick and then have FH pull the food OFF the stick for me.

I cannot leave the house without one credit card and my driver's license, even if I am not driving.

Oh, so may stupid compulsive things. FH is forever laughing at me.

I think you have no control over the tissue if its under, so much of it come off when its placed under.

I hate dishes in the sink when I am cooking

I hate finger prints

I love to leave lights on all over, hubby walks behind me and turn them off

There are so many people in the world that does so many of the same things. What a small world

OVER!! My argument w/DH is that it's too hard for me to pull the paper when it's under since I have carpal tunnel -- he just cracked up w/that one!!! But it is true, and also, I always had it over and can't stand it under!!!

Isn't it annoying when people pile dishes in the sink while you're washing??? And I also can't stand when people take my glass off the table before I'm done drinking out of it!!! (That might be a pet peeve though.)

Lights -- my husband thinks we own stock in ConEd because he leaves EVERY SINGLE LIGHT on -- you can always tell what rooms he was in. I go around shutting them. (Oh God, I've turned into my father who was forever saying that to me!!! LOL ) And he'll leave them on the lowest setting on the dimmer -- why bother???!!!!!!!

Keep 'em coming, I'm feeling more normal now!! LOL

Becky- so funny,

One time my DH and I were getting dressed for skiing and I was trying to find a place for my drivers license and credit card - so I tucked it in a secure inside pocket. He's like what do you need that for??? I have money.

Well when I told him I need my license so they can identify me should I mangle myself around a tree, he knew he was in for it from then on in!!!LOL

.....but its true - If I can't speak in an emergency I want the authorities to know who I am!

The skiing story was funny!! I did that once and forgot I left my license in mu ski jacket. I looked everywhere for it and finally had to get a new one.

OVER!!! Although I am a convert from UNDER but it's because my Paper Towel at home goes crazy if I put it under.

I hate:
The TP roll on the sink and not on the roll.

Wet towels on the bed, carpet, etc.

Mail and other papers (especially junk mail) all over the place.

Tools in my kitchen!!

Dishes in the Sink

A dirty Stove or Bathroom.

Definately the empty container in the fridge - and while on the subject empty ice trays in the Freezer -Just fill them up and put them back or put them in the diswasher to be washed!!!

I could list dozens more!!!!

love this post shamma!!
you make such good ones!

-unmade bed
-toilet seat up
-when FH looks out the blinds and leaves one blind open (a space in them)
-if he opens the blinds (rolls them up) and they are uneven or crooked
-clothes on the floor (right next to the hamper!!)
-people who don't signal oh and the toilet paper OVER
-lights left on, i don't work for Con Ed

I actually dont have a preference, i usually put it on the roll in an uproar because my DH has a problem actually putting it where it goes, usually its on the back of the toilet bowl, or on the sink vanity, god forbid it EVER be on the roll.. so i dont care which way it goes... LOL

This is too funny. Everything..well almost everything you mentioned Shamma. irks me I hate it when Jay has the toilet seat up, and there is pee on it. Then he says 'It's NOT me'
Well who is it??
I hate a wet bathmat.
I cant leave the house until the bed is made.
I hate dirty dishes in the sink.
I hate when Jay leaves his DIRTY clothes on the floor.
I hate it when after I mop the floor, he comes home and walks in the house with grass all over him.
hmm. my list can go on

Anna - you just pushed a button with that splitting the bill stuff!!! At a recent family dinner MIL made us put the drinks on a separate bill, so she wouldn't have to pay a share, since she's a non drinker. But it was OK to split the dinner bill even though she had a $6 seafood bisque and $24 lobster while I had a $4 appetizer and $10 chicken dinner.

Anyone else want to share. I am feeling more and more normal. Here I was thinking I was crazy, but I now see there are others out there who these things bother as well. Others will say, life is short don't let it bother you, but why do I have to live in a messy world While I am here let it be clean...Puleeze

I'm with Kim...I have claustrophobic feet that MUST be out of the covers!

Pet Peeves:

People who let their children run wild in restaurants.

People who signal left and turn right.

I have to have all condiments and small items on the fridge door. Yogurt must be lined up in date order.

People who are rude to service workers for no reason.

People who sit or lean on other people's cars.

Fingerprints on the fridge door handles, microwave, or anywhere else.

People who talk on cell phones in stores or restaurants.

My main neurosis is about starting a house fire so I have an auto shut off iron, but still check to make sure it is unplugged twice before I leave the house.
