Traffic Ticket Question
Soo.. about a month ago I got a speeding ticket from a state trooper on the LIE.I went online to pay it within the 15 days and it said my ticket wasn't filed yet. So I then put my email in to be notified when it was filed and I'd pay it.
A month later nothing. When I enter my last 4 of my social, my name and info it says that I have no open tickets.
BUT, on my ticket 1 my first name is spelled wrong (last 'a' is left off) and he made 2 mistakes on my NYS ID # (he scratched it out and correctedit).
Soo.. anyone have an idea of what's going on?
Don't quote please.

Re: Traffic Ticket Question
what i do know about tickets is that if ANY of the information is wrong, its considered invalid.an exfriend of mine was ticketed for 'intention to drive without a license' because we were sitting at the docs and he was in the driver seat so his g/f could talk to us in the next car. the keys were in the ignition, but the car was off.
they put the wrong title where ID goes...
I had asked my neighbor (who is a NYC cop) and he said that the ticket becomes invalid.
honestly, though, i wouldn't just assume or ignore anything, go to the local station and ask them.. they should be able to help you.

Plead not guilty and go to court. Thia happend to me before you say this isn't me. My name is ..... It will be thrown out no fee no points :)Mine was similar they messed up my plate # and I said this isn't my car and they had to dismiss it. Always read all tickets very closely for this reason.

Re: Traffic Ticket Question
hey chica..same thing happened to me..sometimes it takes 2 months for them to put the ******* ticket on the internet so what i would do is submit a request for notification so once its available online an email will be sent to you..and trust me...it will show up so do not ignore it.
