yea, you can order an abstract of your driving record from dmv- i dont remember if its $15 or $25 but its on the ny state dmv website

If it's a parking ticket, it's for the registered owner, so the car technically. If it's a moving violation, it's on the person, unless you got caught running a red light by one of the cameras. In that case they don't know who is driving and send the ticket to the registered owner of the car.
