TRASH THE DRESS??

Has anybody else heard of this trend?? I get the concept, and it is a cool idea - I just don't know if I could ever do this to my gown!!

Yes, I have heard of this. It has been a round for sometime now. I love the idea. Since I am not going to preserve my dressing I am thinking of doing it. A lot of girls on here have done it.

love it
I can't do it to mine though.. My aunt made it with her own 2 hands Too much sentiment. She's like my 2nd mama

I couldn't do it to my dress & i bought it! Never mind if someone special made it for me! I would go and buy one of those $99 David's Bridal ones for fun though

I couldn't see doing that to such a beautiful thing that means so much to myself, my family and Vinny. I would donate to a good cause before I would trash it-- that way, someone who is less fortunate can get use out of a gorgeous, designer gown-- I mean, everyone deserves to feel like a princess on their wedding day regardless of how much money you have.

I would love to do that but Vinny really wants to keep it in the family. He wants to save it so that we can use the material for our daughter's Christening dresses, Communion dresses, etc. I've heard of that before-- they take the material and make other dresses out of it.

We'll see but for now, he will NOT let me donate it.

I couldn't do it because I'm really attached to my dress & I love it too much to damage it... It's an interesting idea though!!!!

Re: TRASH THE DRESS??

i think my aunt, who paid for my dress as a wedding gift, would KILL ME if i did that. plus, i <3 my dress WAY too much. even though i understand that it's not practical to keep, especially since i'll be moving across the country at least twice in the next 10-15 yrs, i just can't see parting with it right now.

however, getting a cheap-o dress just for fun to take the pics is a FAB idea!!
