Tuesday NW QOTD:

Original post by Summertimegal424

So all i've wanted to do is go on vacation but now i have a house, so thats not gonna happen any time soon, all i can do is dream and hope and save some $ to go somewhere...

So today's question of the day is

Are you saving any money for a vacation any time soon? Or will you guys be going on a anniversary minimoon in the near future?

DH and i have talked about it, and we have discussed that we are gonna save money over the next year or two, and go back to Sandals and do our honeymoon all over again, but this time we are gonna try for a baby, and if it happens its meant to be.... guess we will see in a year or two...

We are thinking of going to Disney for our 1 year anni (plus it'll be our birthdays too)...or we've toyed with the idea of going to Cali for a few days in October.

Either way, we're hoping to save up to go to Amsterdam next Thanksgiving....I've been there already & DH is dying to go. While I dont mind Amsterdam, I'd much rather go to Ireland or Italy...

we could be in disney at the same time

I'm always trying to save, so we'll be sticking to cheapo vacations. We're hopefully going upstate to our friends' cabin in April, I'm sure we'll get up to IL's house in New Paltz for a break, and my parents just got a new boat we can try out this summer! Not to mention that we consider my parents pool our private beach club on weekends while they're off on the boat!

We are trying to save up to go to Ireland in July or August. Hopefully if we succeed in saving we can make a stop in another country as well! That will probably be our last big trip for a while because hopefully we will be trying for a baby by the end of the year!

Our next trip is to Ireland -- I think it's going to be in mid April before prime season so the price isn't so crazy, but once it gets a tiny bit warmer there. We already have a place to stay so it's just going to cost us for the flights (which right now are $900 each for the dates I've looked at... I want it to DROP), renting a car, and food while we're there.

I'm so excited. When I met DH, that was where he told me he wanted to go. He was a great sport about our HM in France, but I can't wait for this trip.

We're going to Europe this summer and although we're saving a lot we're not really saving for this vacation. I work afterschool two hours four days a week (8 hours total per week) and after taxes it's around $275 extra a week so we're saving all of my afterschool checks for the vacation.

Our regular savings is going toward a house - hopefully sooner than later!

Nope. We have due in June & are house hunting so no vacation for us. Lol. We are thinking of planning something for next summer after turns one. Once we are in a house we will start saving for our first family vacation. I am thinking a week or so in southern cali, or aruba.

we want to go on one more big vacation before we have a baby. . are going to start TTC in a few months so are thinking of going to Italy or dream vacations of either australia or thailand but those seem a little out of price range so we'll see. . If I can use frequent flier miles it would be perfect!

We're ttc now and hoping that I'll be pg in the next couple of months (just started fertility medicine for some problems I have) so we're thinking of a babymoon the beginning this summer. Something lowkey, maybe a 5 day cruise.
