Good Morning So I'm walking to work this morning and honestly feeling like being home instead. So to cheer myself up I start thinking about my HM

So what was the funniest thing that happened on your HM????



I think one of the funniest things to happen on my HM was when my DH and Jen's DH tried to fix the toilet in my hotel room It was a drunken ridiculous mess and soooo funny to see them both bent over the toilet trying to fix it!

YES!

Near our hotel, there was a church that was being built and they had a giant neon sign on the roof that said 'Jesus Coming Soon.' At night, you could see that thing from a distance and it cracked me up!

Another funny thing was on the Road to Hana. We had rented a convertible and were driving along with the top down. All of a sudden, I see a giant spider on the visor . . . and I swear he was looking at me. I started screaming for DH to pull over, but the road is one way in each direction. He finally finds a place to pull over and I leapt out of the car like my hair was on fire. (I would have climbed into the backseat while he was driving, except that I couldn't do that and watch the spider at the same time). The only thing I had in my hand to use for the spider was the guide book, but I wouldn't give it to DH because we needed it for the rest of the day. So he took my sandal and smacked the spider and mud went flying everywhere. There's probably still a perfect imprint of my Teva sandal on that Sebring!

Another thing that cracked me up....

DH and I got a couples massage .. DH had never got a massage before so he was like 'what do you mean I have to get naked!!'.. haha I finally convinced him everything would be alright...when we get into the room he was freaking out about taking the robe off.. so im explaining to him that he will be under sheets and noone will see.. well all of a sudden a male and female masseuse walk in and DH turns to me and right in front of them says 'if that dude is for me im out of here'

hahah I was cracking up!

My funniest memory is def when we went horseback riding on the beach, for 2 reasons:

1. We started cracking up bc the trail that took you to the water was the beach for a hotel there… so imagine booking your hotel online and being so excited to have the beach right there but meanwhile you have horses coming through all the time and horse poop everywhere!

2. You take a break when you get to the beach and there are people there selling things… this one guy was talking to DH for a good 10 mins and they had this whole long conversation while I was in the sun. When I asked him what they talked about he was like “I have no idea, I couldn’t understand a word he was saying.” And the guy convinced him to buy a hat for $25 that was made of palm leaves, and opened up an aloe plant and put some on DH’s face.

one of my fav things to do is when we stay at the polynesian at dsny is to feed the ducks..they come right by your door and walk all around the hotel...so i get some crackers and start to feed the by the beach and all the sudden about 50 ducks come,start fighting with each other are quacking at me and surrond me like they wanted to attack!!!

i finally threw the crackers in the air and ran away like a iitle girl

I'm not sure if anything that happened was that funny. . but I had used my Hilton hotel points for our hotel in Athens before we went to the islands and so we were checked in under my name - so they kept saying congratulations Mr and Mrs O. . using my last name - and the same thing had happened for our wedding night at the hotel in NYC bc I had made the reservation - so now we always joke and call him Mr. . with my last name

The funniest thing on our honeymoon was the overnight train ride from hell that we took from Paris to Florence.

Our travel agent said it was a first class private sleeper cabin...

Well the train was the equivalent to an old LIRR train-we had bunk beds and there was a communtiy bathroom. And yes it smelled.

In the 'dinner cabin' it was communal dining and the food was GROSS! And we had to sit with these old people For 60 euro!!!

We could hear the guy snoring in the 'room' next to us!!

Seriously we just had to laugh, it was so horrific that we found it absolutely hilarious. Literally we laughed so hard we were crying.

That church was in Maui right? On Front Street? We saw that too and thought it was pretty funny!

And the Road to Hana was amazing!!!

Btw, love your honeymoon pics. Tried to get DH to do them but I didn't succeed.

We did the road to Hana too. But I missed that sign. I can't believe it because I usually catch things like that.

The funniest thing was when we saw the Octopus snorkeling... at first we were looking at it in awe, then we decided there was this an Octopus and swam like hell.

That or when we were driving on the Big Island with the top down and it started pouring. We are out in the rain putting it up.

Or maybe when DH bought WD-40 to fix our jeep. If you knew DH you would know why that was so funny. He is Mr. Fix It.

Yes, that was the church! I took a picture of the sign, but I don't have it on my work computer. DH kept doing the movie guy voice and saying things like 'Just when you thought it was safe to sin . . . Jesus . . .Coming Soon.'

Thank you for the compliment about the pics. My DH was not thrilled about doing them either, but I was relentless. He finally decided it would be easier to give up a half hour for the pics than to spend the rest of his life hearing about how he didn't let me take them!

We watched people have sex on their balcony every single day at 4:00 like clock work. One day they were out there early and we knew they had to be leaving that day..........and they did!

Oh man I have a good one. We had just come back from the pool and we jumped in the shower b/c I was cold. (Disney in Jan) Well I guess I had water in my ear from swimming, or something to do with flying and my balance was a little off. DH was washing his hair so he didn't see me slip and fell so hard in the shower. There was this little piece of the shower like a water guard lip attached w/ caulk and when I fell I grab onto it & it came off in my hand. I am surprised I didn't get hurt they way I fell I so should have broke something. DH asked me if I was OK, then proceeded to laugh hysterical. Almost a year later he will start laughing out of no where & when I ask him what he is laughing at he says when you fell in the shower on the hm.

This happened to me by the Caribbean hotel. I was feeding the ducks after breakfast & the seagulls started swarming. It was so scary!! I stood there frozen & closed my eyes, DH had to come pull me away. Little kids were laughing at me. Moral of the story don't feed the birds in disney!!!

the maid walking in on me and DH getting it on ...on the balcony! woooopppsss!

I can't even think of anything that funny happening to us...maybe just the whole hibachi experience? But that doesn't really count. I don't know, we were so boring! We tried to keep it really low key and I feel like the whole week was a blur between sleeping constantly and drinking alcohol starting at 11:30 every day.
