This is a good site. Although, we should embrace our bodies and I feel shallow being this way but, I think if my tummy looked that way after a baby I would want a tummy tuck.

i have terrible skin tone - i think that is what it is called. i have stretch marks on my thighs, behind and boobs - just from normal weight gain and loss, nothing drastic. I also have a good amount of cellulite all over so i KNOW that my body is not going to rebound no matter how hard I work at it - so I unless we are starving I WILL be getting a tummy tuck after I am sure that I am done having kids.
PS if i look like Julia does in this picture, i will be the mom in her bikini picking up her kids at school LOL i just mean if its bad.

Re: tummy after baby
my bff had her second baby in two years, back in December. I haven't seen her tummy, but she told me last week that it was like mush at first and she couldn't do one sit up. Now that she's been working at it for a few months (about 200 crunches a day) she said she's just starting to feel muscle again. Everyone is different, I'm afraid of gaining a lot like my mom did (mostly around her a$$), but who knows what will happen!

I would want a tummy tuck too....I know it sounds bad but that is part of why I am scared to have kids. I already am not crazy about my body, having kids makes it worse (it seems).....

I think it depends on your age, skin elasticity, etc. I know I will definitely get a tummy tuck after kids. not that its flat at all now

This is a great site that was posted on LIF.
I think its great to be prepared for what happens after the baby or what COULD happen
I would assume that's normal for thin girls. If you're stomach has never been stretched before and then it happens so fast, I can only assume that loose skin and/or stretch marks would be normal (but not for everybody of course!). I think for girls who have been heavy before in their lives (whether they lost the weight or not before getting pregnant) it probably wouldn't stretch as bad. That's what I think at least. I'm no skin expert. lol.

I hate to say this..but this is what scares me the most about child birth! the weight gain! I have never been overweight and I'm in really good shape..so I'm really afraid of what I will look like after!

Re: tummy after baby
Maybe, I am odd here but I wouldn't even mind it that much, sort of a small sacrifice(in my eyes) I think to have a baby. Obviously everyone wants to have a flat belly after having a baby but I wouldn't go bonkers or have surgery right away, I would hope in time it would go back, and I would just enjoy being a mom so much, I am sure I wouldn't have all that much time to think about it.

If I were her, I'd wear a one piece. That empty flesh look is gross.

But if she is comfortable why should she? I wouldnt be comfortable showing it but more power to her! It isnt like she has a bad figure....

It's not as bad as Kelly Rippa's Penis Bellybutton thingy... I would not be wearing a bikini with a outie like that!
I'd take Julia's body over Kelly's IMO

B/c it looks friggin gross. I don't show the word my fat ***, and she shouldn't show her empty belly sack. Its yuck. Wear a tankini.
