Turks & Caicos

Who's been?

Thinking of maybe going here for the 1 year...

Italy is outta the question... I can't take 3 weeks off from work

and there is no point in going there for any time LESS than that, especially when I'd want to see my family for a week.

So I want to go to paradise, or something damn close

How's the Caribbean?

My friend from work has been to Turks & Caicos a few times and says it's AWESOME! No night life really, but most Caribbean islands are like that. I've always wanted to go, just not sure when we'd do that. Look into it!

DH has been to the club med there

he liked it

they dont' let you sit down and keep you very active the whole time - tons of activities

I also did the Club Med - think it was back in '91.
I went by myself and had a blast.

The islands are gorgeous, as is the water.
Not a long plane ride either, I recall.

thanks so much everybody! sounds and looks awesome... Kinda worried about the nightlife... we're not much into clubs or bars but still, the option would be nice... hahah

but definitely love activities so that sounds perfect

I stayed at the Club Med with DH two year ago.. we still rave about how much fun we had!!!!
While they don't have an outside the resort night life, there was plenty to do at the resort at night. They had shows every night, have a DJ playing all night with people dancing right in the middle of the resort. We are planning to go back that's how much I loved it!!!

ETA: Just noticed your anniversary is in July, which is the hottest time of year there. I went in June and the workers there told us that in Juyl and August it's unbelievably hot...and it was pretty hot in July! Just a heads up!!

I went to T&C in July one year and we stayed at Club Med. Best time ever!!! Probably my favorite vacay besides my HM. The beaches are awesome and if you like snorkeling, it's the best there.
