Two More Days!

DH and I will be in Europe on our honeymoon! I can't fricken wait. We will be in Europe for almost three weeks!

I still have to pack. I have NO idea what I am taking, how much I should bring and have this nutty fear that my luggage is going to go missing.

And, one thing I am really stressing about is debating on bring my e-ring and wedding band with me. Should I or shouldn't I? I have a fake set I purchased a while back but it's not the same.

For those of you that honeymoon'd in Europe- any packing tips, dressing tips, and just any tips in general you have to share?

I didn't go to Europe for my honeymoon but I say pack comfy clothes cause I'm sure you will be doing a lot of walking, and a few cute outfits for dinners and going out.
I didn't take my rings with my for my honeymoon but I did have a fake set that I wore instead. I did miss my rings though..

I will agree with the comfy shoes.

I took a suitcase full of shoes with me , high heels, cute shoes, and I didn't wear them once lol


DH and I went to London/Paris about this time a few years ago. It was a bit chilly. I didn't bring any sweaters with me so I had to walk around with DH's 'GTA' video game sweater for a few days lol
Don't let the people who tell you they just want to draw a picture of you for 'Free' do anything. They wanted to charge us 10 pounds for each picture. DH got mad at them and didn't pay b/c he said no to begin with.


Remember to look BOTH ways when crossing a street. They drive on the other side and DH and I almost killed ourselves several times lol


I also wouldn't risk bringing my e-ring or any expensive jewelry with me. You just never know and you don't want to take the chance.

so the places above are where I went on our honeymoon almost a year ago now - we also went a few more places in Greece You will have an AMAZING time. I packed mostly comfy, casual dresses. they aren't big on shorts over there and honestly I loved wearing dresses everyday. I actually wore comfy flip flops a lot. the most walking we did was in Rome, Venice, and Florence.

the most GORGEOUS place ever is Dubrovnik - DH and I were in love. I have a bunch of pics - if you have any questions or want me to send you the link to pics, let me know. have an AMAZING time.

Oh and I don't really agree that it's unsafe - you should have no problem wearing your e-ring and wedding band - I wore mine the entire 2 weeks I was there, on the cruise, in town etc. Just don't take it off ever; it's that simple. eat a lot of gelato in Italy, and be sure to try the crepes in Santorini.

I am doing a cruise! Sounds very similar to mine. Did you go on Celebrity by any chance? Yea, I know Europeans do not wear shorts. I have family in Spain and Italy and they always made fun of Americans for wearing shorts. I would love to see your pics. Please link them to me if you can!

Your trip sounds amazing!! Definitely pack comfy shoes and maybe one pair of nice 'going' out shoes, don't overpack you'll regret the minute you get there.

We went to Europe on our honeymoon for 2 weeks and I got sick! I didn't know it at the time but I had mono. I kept feeling tired before the wedding and thought it was nerves. Even if you feel ok now, I'd bring medication with you. Especially if you are traveling around, the hospitals are worse than ones here and you there might be a language barrier.
After day 5 of thinking I was going to die, my husband called the front desk who called a doctor to come to our room. He gave me meds that were very powerful and luckily my mom, who's an NP, told me they were ok to take. I asked him for a Z-Pack and he said that he prescribes them for syphallis!

Pack light, comfortable, warm sweater/rain proof jacket, and bring plenty of meds...JUST IN CASE
