TWO, TWO, TWO QUESTIONS IN ONE POST

i'm having a hard time waiting for my pics from my photog

so here are my two questions....

how long before you sent out thankyou cards???
i'm thinking of using non-pro pics and using shutterfly.com

since so many people gave $$$ at the wedding, how did you guys word so many 'thank you for your generosity' cards???
did you just repeat yourself?

Re: TWO, TWO, TWO QUESTIONS IN ONE POST

I got married in late August, and I still have not sent my thank yous out yet...so I think you have a least a few months. The other ladies maybe more helpful in this part of the question.

I got my blank cards early, so I have been wording a lot of them with generous gift but I change the sentence before or after for example, in one card I may use

We are very happy you were able to join us at our wedding. We hope that you had a great time. Thank you very much for the generous gift and for making our day special. It was very nice of you and we appreciate it greatly.

or

Thank you for sharing in our special day and thank you for your generous gift. We hope you had a wonderful time!

So it depended on the person.

Hope this helps.

Re: TWO, TWO, TWO QUESTIONS IN ONE POST

we got the call our proofs were done the day we got home from our HM about 10 days after the wedding.
i picked them up the next day and chose our thank u pic that same day and called our photog and the day after our thank u pics were ready.
we mailed out our thank u's 3 weeks after the wedding.
we pretty much wrote the same thing in each thank you, it was easier that way.

We wrote out our thank yous before we got the pic, then we just slid it in and got mailed it out. We got them out within 6 weeks of the wedding. I think the above poster and I were WAAAYYY ahead of schedule. I just wanted them out.

We also said pretty much the same thing in all thank yous.

Re: TWO, TWO, TWO QUESTIONS IN ONE POST

we got the call that our proofs were ready in 2 weeks, then picked out TY in 2 days and received all 150 in a week, so 3 weeks after our wedding. I immediately started writing (I personally hate waiting for thank yous especially since 3 of my friend sent theirs out almost 9 months to a year after marriage). I think 6 months is the latest amont of time to send out a thank you.
I tried to personalize the thank yous by saying:
'Thanks for the generous gift. It will help as we begin looking for a home of our own'
