For those of you that sent out your TY cards, did you send one to those that did not give you a wedding gift??
Also would you send a TY to a couple that came to your CH and left right after (so you paid for 2 empty seats at your reception) but gave you a gift off your registry? TIA!

We gave a TY card to everyone that gave us a card or gift at the wedding, even if the card was empty

We sent a card to everyone who came to the wedding. In the event we did not receive a gift, we just thanked them for coming and sharing the day with us.
True story, we just received a gift from one of those no-gifters. 8.5 months later. Stranger things have happened, I suppose ...
ETA you most DEFINITELY should send a card to anyone who gave you a gift, despite how shittty it was and how rude it was that they left after the CH. They came, they gave you a gift, they get a TY card.

i am in the process of writing thank yous now. I am writing a thank you to those who came even if they didnt get a gift. I am just saying 'Thank you for coming...'

if they didn't attend and didn't give a gift then - No,
if they didn't attend and gave a gift - Yes, one that says 'thanks for the gift'
if they did attend (cocktail hr/reception) and didn't give a gift - Yes, one that says 'thanks for coming'

We only had one stiffer & not only did she not give a gift or a card she didn't show up for her Church reading. She definettly did not receive a TY card. She hasn't even tried to contact me since the reception, when she was trying to 'talk' about why she missed the Church.
What was I suppose to thank her for?????

I will only send a TY card to those who gave a gift. I refuse to send a TY card to someone who attended the wedding, drank the alcohol, ate the food and didn't give a gift (and who didn't even write out a nice card).

Giving a gift is not a requirement.
I sent a TY to everyone who came.
I would send one to a couple who left after CH. Its not about breaking even to me.

has anyone ever sent a TY to a no-gifter and subsequently received a gift bc maybe the no-gifter forgot the gift or was prompted by the kind gesture of the thank you to send one?

only one person came who did not give a gift and that was DH's ex...so no, she did not get a thank you card from me.
