she told me i could come on and ask you this and she is supervising as i am writing.
my wife is still having nightmares and stress about the wedding even though the wedding happened over a month ago. have any of you experienced this? she says it's normal. i think she's a little 'insane' but i don't want to be insensitive.
c'mon, help a brother out.
thanks a lots.
Sincerely, -a man who is head-over-heels-in-love with his wife and wants her to relax and feel good.

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
that is so nice & considerate of you as a DH to see if this is normal. Yr DW is a lucky lady
Yes it is normal, as wedding planning totaly consume us as brides, its hard to come down to a normal leval as we then agoanize of what we 'should' have done EVEN THOUGH our day was PERFECT !!
WIth some time & R&R,she will be ok.....

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
Hello Bunnymonkey's DH! Yes, I still have wedding nightmares, and I've been married over a YEAR! I don't know why I still get them. I don't get them all the time, maybe every few months. I dream that I'm getting married to DH again, but this time everything goes horribly wrong. Very stressful But my DH thinks I'm weird too, so you're not alone

awwwwwww
I think it's perfectly normally having nightmares after the wedding. The whole planning process consumes most of our thoughts for a long time, and it take awhile to get them OUT of our heads. I still have them, and it's almost two months ago already.
Just give it some time!!

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
Awww! How cute.
Well, here was my experience: We were engaged for 2 years. Never once during that time did I have any wedding nightmares.
Didn't have any nightmares during our 2 week honeymoon, either.
Then, I started to have some wedding nightmares. Not often, but I'd have nightmares that I'd show up for my wedding in a blue polka dot dress...
Or, that I'd walk down the aisle and tell DH that I didn't want a big wedding.
Haven't had one in a long time, but now I'm passed my 1 year mark, so the wedding is getting 'old' for me.

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
I don't have them, but it is probably normal. It is probably similar to having the nightmares about exams - those ones where you miss the exam, or you show up, realizing you don't know anything and know you will fail, even though you haven't been in school for years. They might be stress related.
Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
I think I had one or two after I got back from the HM. It is normal... that much stress for so long cant just go away that fast.

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
How CUTE is my husband?!
I also showed him the thread i wrote a few weeks ago where all you lovely Newlyweds taked about post wedding stress and obsessing....
It's interesting that the wedding nightmares don't end after the wedding for some people.
He now believes me that it is somewhat normal, (thanks to these posts!) and i am TRYING to De-Stress (We just hit the one month mark, so I'm thinking the part where i calm down starts happening soon...?)
Plus, we are moving to another state and I am going back to school in a month - big changes on the horizon, so i think my body and mind are just stressing in general, and the wedding is something tangible to stress about. You know?
Maybe a good old fashioned MASSAGE from my husband will relax me!
Love you monkey!
and Thanks ladies...

I've switched from wedding nightmares to home buying nightmares.

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
I haven't had one since before the wedding, but last night (over two months later) I dreamt that: - we got our video which didn't show us saying our vows and I posted about it on LIW, and - the BMs walked down the aisle carrying the CPs over their heads

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
Hi Nick! I have heard a lot about you from Ryanna= Awesome girl you got there. I think you need to call my DH. He can't understand why I am STILL upset that I forgot to put on part of my veil and have lost sleep over this. We are crazy girls I know but it is normal to still be having nightmares about something so all consuming. She keeps raving about how in love you are and all the good loving you have! So I wouldn't worry about a thing- it will pass soon.

Re: um...is anyone having wedding nightmares still?
I had them every other night for about eight months before my wedding. Then once we got married, they ended. I think that is normal for you to still be having them. I wouldn't be too concerned.
