Unusual baby names?

Unusual baby names?

When talking about baby names, have you or DH ever come up with some strange ones?

I ask this only because DH keeps telling me that we’re going to name our first son Cougar. And when I tell him he’s being ridiculous, he says he’ll compromise by making it a middle name.

DH wants to name our first boy Eli Manning Garcia. No joke. I mean Eli is fine, but middle name Manning?? I think not....

ETA: Cougar is pretty funny, but when I hear that name all I think of is an older woman on the prawl for a younger man

Too funny!!

i'm a HUGE fan of unusual names... but not so much the funny insane ones!! haha!! Like Radio Flyer... that's too odd for me!!

They had a show on vh1 or one of those channels where they went through all the ridiculous baby names celebs gave their kids. One was Inspektor Pilot or something like that. haha!! Silly!!

Ooh and I have another good one… if my cousin had been a girl, my aunt wanted to name him Breeta. (I actually have no idea how to spell it, but it’s pronounced breed-a.) Maybe that wouldn’t have been horrible, but their last name is Peacock! Breeta Peacock??

Cougar as in John Cougar Mellencamp? Thats what I think of when I hear Cougar!

DH and I are in agreeance that you can be a little unusual with girls names, but we both like traditional boys names like Jason, Joseph, etc. (thank God he agrees with me!)

Breeta Peacock! LMAO!!!!!! My last name is Dowd and when my stepmom was pregnant with my brother my dad was pushing for the middle name Wellen. So his name would have been Kevin Wellen Dowd (Get it? Well-Endowed) I was all for it but no1 else seemed to think it was that funny!

DH doesn't want an unusual name but his brother begged his wife throughout her entire pregnancy with their son to allow his middle name to be Batman. Christopher Batman. I actually thought it would have been cute He didn't win though my nephews name is Christopher Justin....but we call him CJ.

Re: Unusual baby names?

We've never come up with any crazy ones, but one of my friends worked at a NICU for awhile and had some crazy ones. Most notably:

Sixsation (the woman's 6th baby, born in lockup. All 6 babies have six different daddies).
Ta-a. Seriously, just guess what this name is. No, it's not pronounced Taa, or Ta ah, it's Tadasha. ?!?!?!?!??!

We have a cat named Batman. And that was after DH turned down Sir Ploofington of Westwoodshire, Ploofie for short.
