When talking about baby names, have you or DH ever come up with some strange ones?
I ask this only because DH keeps telling me that we’re going to name our first son Cougar. And when I tell him he’s being ridiculous, he says he’ll compromise by making it a middle name.

Cougar as in John Cougar Mellencamp? Thats what I think of when I hear Cougar!
***************************************************** John Cougar Mellencamp - LOL Cougar was his stage last name & Mellencamp was his real last name. When he got older he realized he wanted to use his real last name & therefore became John Cougar Mellencamp. A lil fact for all of u. lol

THANK GOD that DH is SO traditional in this area. I actually have to 'tone down' some of our potential choices. He thinks my choices are too 'out there.'
Cougar is ridiculous though ...

DH wants to name our kid London....which in itself is a bit too pretentious, especially because his neice's name is Milan
I'm a huge fan of old glamourous movie starlets,so I LOOOVE the name Harlow (aka Nicole Richie's baby).
We never agree on names. We try playing the alphabet name game for babies and we rarely agree on anything! LOL
So we are not even going through that until we are pregnant and find out what we're having

DH wants to name our first boy Eli Manning Garcia. No joke. I mean Eli is fine, but middle name Manning?? I think not....

The epsiode of Friends where he got Cougar from was on last night! It's the one where Phoebe's having her brother's triplets and they tell her she gets to name one of the babies.

The names I like aren't unusual per se, but they are ethnic, so some people might double take. For a girl, I love Eleni Rose, Sophia Simone, or Isla Marina. I also like Ava Geneva and Gianna Giselle or Alexandria. For a boy, I like Alexander or Alexios of course (would it be entirely obnoxious to have a family of 4 Alexs?), Stelios, Georgios, or Angelos. DH I don't think would appreciate me trying to name our son after my cat though
I'm really bucking for some of these...DH is really insistant of naming the first child after his mother or father, second after my mother or father, and back and forth etc....but I'm very adamant that we do not do that because I don't want our children having the same name of at least one of their cousins if not two, and they're already going to be raised Orthodox instead of Catholic, and we were married Orthodox instead of Catholic, and this isn't a religious mandate but a secular tradition, and unless we have 4 kids my mom is going to get the shaft on this one and I don't want my parents to be upset that we're naming our kids after FILs and not them, so why should I always have to be the one to give in on everything? They come out of me, I name them!

we are thinking of staying with the C names if we ever have any more (i've had 3 MC in the past year but we are hopefull we will be blessed with another miricle)

Elijah, Jacob, Joshua.. ooohh and Jared
My DH is sooo cute!! He said he'll pick the names for girls..
Isla Sade Rianna (His name starts with Ri and my moms is Anna) Awww how cute!
Idk.. We will make a decision once time comes... Plus we are going to be waiting a while longer becuase we dont want to know the sex of our child until birth! Soo we will really be torn between names.. But we love talking about our future children names...
I say we name each for every day of the weekend! (hence we only want to have two!!! )

Since I met DH he claims he wants to name his first born son ZOLTAN....he really hasn't budged. It's not gonna happen.
I love the name Aislynn but he hates it and I don't think Zoltan for Aislynn is a fair trade.

We have trouble picking girl's names but have a few boys names picked out...
We love: Nate, Greyson, Quinn
Girls I am stuck...it's hard putting anything with drinkwater lol
