UPDATE-a little nerve racked and Edgy

I get a cat scan today w/contrast for my abdomen and pelvic.. Dr's orders. Have not been feeling myself in the last 2 weeks. I am just such a baby when it comes to needles - I know I might be over reacting I am just nervous and irritated from the uncomfortable pain.

I have to start to drink my nasty drink in 10 minutes to prepare.
My DH took off of work today they just informed me he will not be able to stay in the room with me during the procedure.

Need some encouragement and prayers right for strength from you all .. I am such a baby..

You'll be ok! Just take a few deep breaths, maybe munch on some cheesecake and you;'ll be fine. DRr.vists are always scary but we're here with hugs AND cake!

Update

Ok I am back surprisingly enough it went pretty quick.
However the stupid Tech made lots of holes in my arm That is the one thing I am soo fearful of is the D A M N needle

The contrast was scary weird. A hot sensation down your throat and than down into your pjaamamma. You feel like it is on FIRE

Now I just have to wait 24hrs for the results

I have to admit, this had me !!!!!!

I am just signing on for the first time today, I wish I was on earlier to send you some supportive

I had a rough medical day too. It took THREE different people poking at my arms to find a vein so I could give blood.

Here's hoping we both get good results from our tests and they can figure out what's causing our random pains!

OK.. So it is day 3 - since the original post.
And I have FIRE CROTCH since the procedure. lol:
No answers , just Fire crotch! That damn contrast or drink made everything in my system go wacky w/burning sensations!

After calling the office yesterday the only thing I got was a receptionist that read my cat scan to me over the phone. She said..' Um.. I think your fine b/c I c nothing here on the notes that the Dr was looking for.'
'Do you still want me to have him call you tomorrow ? - it is his day off today'
W T F!!!

ahhh....don't you love Drs offices sometimes! Sorry you are burning...hope he calls you even though it's his 'day off'...i know making a phone call to say 'hey...you are fine' would just ruin his day
