Two weeks ago, I had surgery at the Center for Endometriosis Care in Georgia. It was a tough decision to go out of state of surgery, but I am so glad I did. The doctors there are experts in treating endo, which is an often misdiagnosed and mistreated disease. (I can't tell you how many doctors previously told me that the pain was in my head. Sorry, but I wasn't imagining pain from Stage IV endo).
Not only were the doctors skilled, but they are incredibly understanding and compassionate. I only wish more doctors could be that way.
I just had my 2 week follow up appt here and passed with flying colors! And for the first time since I was 13, I think it's safe to say that I am free from the endo pain. WOO HOO!
If anyone you know is considering seeking treatment at the CEC, feel free to FM me for more info.

Re: Update on my Endo Surgery
That's wonderful news! I had labroscopic surgery for Endo in 2001 - I still get pain once in a blue moon - but it doesnt last more than a few fleeting seconds - so it's tolerable at this point. I know at some point I will have to go back for a 2nd surgery but waiting until we at least have 1 child before I do.

I'm glad to hear that you are also doing well!
We hope to be able to have children, too. I had a previous surgery in 2002, during which they had to remove parts of both ovaries. Because of that and the severity of my endo, I needed to have the surgery now to preserve my fertility.
I hope that your endo continues to behave itself!
