Just called the restaurant to warn them that a swarm of us are going to be descending come Thursday
They are going to give us the back room so thats good. There will be a few tables of 12 but we can get up and mingle, etc.. easier since we have the room to ourselves.
There is a prix fixe menu for $25+tip+tax that includes soup or salad/main course/dessert/coffee or tea. I think im going to get that just so its easier when the check comes - but you can order off the menu if you prefer.
(All I ask is that everyone keep track of what they have ordered and make sure you pay for it plus tax and tip. I hate when I go out and the $$ comes up short.)
Is that okay for everyone?

Ok to order whatever...however I assume they have a min order for someone sitting. So if a lot of people just order appetizer and drink, they may decide to inforce a min spent per person. It shouldnt be a problem if only a few girls but if a lot of us, they are going to charge more no matter what. Not sure but thats how lots of restaurants do it.
Also - they are probably going to automatically add in 15%-20% gratuity b/c our group is so large. We'll find out when we get the check but keep in mind.
Anyone bringing a calculator? This could get ugly if we do it in our head

Theresa: Not mad at all...I dont want anyone ordering something they dont want! I just wanted to warn everyone. It seems that when I go out with a lot of girl, the money always end up short and I and a few others end up with a fat tab at the end of the night. I dont know if its that girls are not used to paying or that they dont realize how much it costs or whatever but its my biggest pet peeve in the world so Im being overly cautious, you know. I dont care what anyone orders as long as I dont end up paying for it

Oh My, I thought I was the only person that happened to!!!! That is a pet peeve of mine too, I don't care what people eat or drink, just make sure you include enough to cover it!!! I hate that...... I once went to a pizza place with a group of friends and my husband and I ended up paying $50.00 EACH for 2 slices of pizza and a soda!!! I was pretty ticked
Not that that is going to happen on Thursday, I am just talking about a past experience!!!! I don't think it's just your friends Sonicstef, it's some of mine too!!!!

That is so funny!!! And so true. Last week I went out with my friends to sushi and FI and I are trying desperately to save up for upcoming expenses. I ate one roll because you know how expensive sushi gets and my friends chowed down. I was starving so that I didn't have to spend that much! The bill comes and it is huge! My friend says we'll equally divide it. I almost cried! I was so ****ed hungry!
