Well we moved in together when we got engaged and I have to say, we gelled pretty well. Before we lived together, I would sleep over a lot...definitely the whole weekend and sometimes a few nights during the week, so I feel like we kind of eased into living together. I find DH very easy to live with, so I'm sure his personality has something to do with us not having an adjustment period.

In the beginning, yes. We lived apart, but I was there on the weekends.
It took us a while to adjust to each other's routines, and it took me a while to feel settled in. I always felt like I was in the wrong house.
Took me a while, but now I am used to DH's alarm going off at 3:50 every day !
I also miss my old co-op apartment, it was bigger, I had a garage and a laundry room, but my dad lived with me and I didn't want him to move out into an apartment of his own. I still see dad at least once a week to do some cleaning for him, do his laundry, and just to chat with him over coffee and see how he's doing. After 43 years of always living with someone, it's a hard adjustment for him to live by himself.

We never lived together before we were married but surprisingly we didn't really need to adjust, things went very smoothly. I think part of it was having been together for 6 years and partly because we bought the house a couple of months before we got married and we spent a lot of time getting it ready, so we got used to the house. I love living with him!

i never lived with dh until we were married, so it really took some time to adjust to living with each other, after being married three months, we adjust well together.

DH goes by his Mom's once a week for the same reason; I go with him every other week.

Pretty much the same.

We still butt heads over things like laundry (he leaves it on the floor), and garbage duty. DH never lived with anyone except me & his parents, so it took some a$$ kicking

My mom lived with us too, but she died three years ago, so it was just my dad and me up until the wedding.
At least my DH understands that my Saturday mornings are reserved for my dad. It's not easy though, I have two men to take are of and two homes.

We didn't have any problems at all because we lived together for 1/12 years before we got married. First living together yea we did because we were getting used to each others habits. I think we all go through an adjustment period when first living togetheror moving away.

We're still adjusting

We moved in together slowly -- We got the house but had to make many renovations and I worked a second job in the evening, so DH stayed there and worked on the renovations while I worked and stayed over my parents' house.
Then I started staying over more nights per week, until I really moved in. But I still have closets in my parents' house b/c I stay there once a week

There was absolutely an adjustment period: we purposefully moved in together before we got married. It wa a few months. We still are micro-adjusting & it's been 1.5yrs of living together.

We both lived alone for a while before-hand....I think that makes a big difference.

DH and i lived together for about 2 years prior so no adjustment period - actually we lived in an apartment in his parent's house and now we live on our own so if anything it's been a positive adjustment!

he is soo good about helping out around the house too and doing stuff (like taking out the trash or cleaning the litter) without me asking... i tell him all the time i won the husband lottery.

Definitely - we never lived together and had been in a long distance relationship for 2+ years and I moved 3 hours away from all of my family. For the first 2 weeks I was miserable. Then once September came around, we were in a routine and it was all better.

Due to unpredictiable circumstances DH and I had to move in with the in laws right after the wedding. We lived there for 5mths...wouldnt really say we 'adjusted' being that we all lived in the same one floor house (along with his sis, and her daughter..ugh.) we just moved into our own apartment (thank God) on the 1st of Jan. and I would say we adjusted just fine...it was like weve been married for years

oh dear I think we're still adjusting and we've been married almost 5 months! He bought the house we live in before we got married, like 3 years prior, so he's accumulated a lot of guy crap. Just moved a lot of the star wars figures out of the bedroom to make room for picture frames and more feminine looking decor, and sometimes we feel in conflict as I try to redecorate and make room for my stuff.
