Upset

Ok so I got our picaboo Album-looks great, beautifl fabulous...BUT...with soem of the formal shots, I noticed they were fuzzy-they were fuzzy in the shots for our parent albums oo but I thought I screwed up in MyPUblisher. So I go to check the original proofs and what do I se/ FUZZY ALL OF THEM ARE FUZZY! I never noticed before because on the small 4x6 scale doesn't show. But when you enlarge em...yea...REALLY fuzzy and that weird effect whn you take pics with a shi ittty camera....

Im so upset. I mean took me months to eb ok with the fact there were no many pics of DH and I but NOW to boot the formals are fuzzy...I want to cry...I really do. I have a CRAP memory and wanted beautiful pics to remember the day and they're crap and more crap... Didnt even geta shot with MYy MOM!....

I really regret allowing DH to sway me into believeing the typical 2,500+ for weddign photos was too much to spend because we spent 1800 and I hate them and we cant ever get that day back....

Just great.

Its the proofs themselves-We got them on a CD-just on a CD and then prinetd but printed they were small so u couldnt tell. I really am struggling not to cry because DH doesnt understand..this wasnt important to hij but it was to me. I wnated nice photos, a beautiful dress and our great reveal moment on the staircase. I got none of those. And Ive been dealing with it, telling myself not to be a ababy because I got the guy and all...but I know its soo stupif and I;; feel retarded tomorrow for crying over it but...my pictures..they're just nto what I wanted.

Do not fear! If I am understanding this correctly, you did this album DIY ....yes?
However, I know that you had a professional photographer b/c I saw the pics and they are AMAZING.
Can you just go to the photographer and buy an album?
Am I getting this correctly? Please explain. I will help you

Its not the album..its the pictures..he missed important shots like me and my mom and all the formals outside were rushed and they came out fuzzy. So when they are enlarged in the album, they have that grainy quality like when you set your diital camera wrong and its bad light.

Re: Upset

Are they the hi-res pics from your photog? Because I had some digital proofs of my e-pics online that would have looked blurry had I tried to print or use them, but when he gave me the hi-res versions on a disc they were fine.

I'm so sorry you're going through this...even if they're a little fuzzy, I'm sure they're still beautiful (actually, I know they are - I've perused your pics so many times because they're so pretty!).

Thanks. I don't know. I think so. They came with our package-our pkg was just the CD of the proofs and the unedited hardcopies of them-nothing was done to these. At the time it seemed like such a deal and now it just doesn't.

Re: Upset

I would call the photg and see if he has the pics in hi-res and ask for them on CD. You might have to buy them, but then what if you had perfect proofs?!?!?! Don't cry Jen, it will all seem very irrelevant in the future, I promise. You have an amazing man and you have your mom. Not everyone can say that. I love pics too, but in the end they are just pics, enjoy the real thing for as long as you can!

Or you can make yourself feel better by having DH pay for a photo session of you and your mom to make up for it!

id contact them and just phrase it in such a way that youre just checking to make sure its not possible to get hi-res pics...or whether those WERE the hi-res. bc youre noticing they seem blurry when you enlarge them.

I am SO sorry... I can imagine how disappointed you must be.. You worked SO hard on that album

Re: Upset

i agree with most others - DEFINITELY do not hesitate to call and see if your photographer has HI-RES images. CD proofs are just PROOFS they are most likely NOT the resolution the photos were shot in. and i would think the photographer would keep backups of everything - in case you wanted to order a portrait or what not from him, or something like that. so dont even hesitate for a moment and give the photographer a call!! good luck and tell us how it goes!!

Re: Upset

I would call the photog and make sure he gave you a high res cd of the images. If not that is why when they get larger they get fuzzy (at least that is what i have been told) IM sorry that they are fuzzy!

I didn't think they were too bad but definetly would have taken issue with your photographer too. Actually I like the pics you took of your etails better! Should have hired yourself -smile- Hindsight huh..she is a #$%&*

UPDATE: The photographer is no help. These are the High-Res shots. he is trying to blame it on the weather saying the lens might have fogged...um ok but shouldnt you have TOLD ME THAT?

All of the formals outside are bad. I blew every one of them up to the max res and they are all a mess. so after a complete day of crying and putting on waterproof mascara on today, I contacted the corprorate headquarters directly. I doubt they will do anything because it is 3 months later, but at least I get to ***** at someone.

DH suggested doing the day-after shoot but when i mentioned the cost, he hesitated and honestly at this point, not even that would make anything better because my MOH and I are not on great speaking terms momentarily and its all of the formals; my parents, my bridal party, Dh's family, some of our shots...they are all a mess. There is no way to recreate the day-that first moment when we see one another, the emotions...nada. So doing the day after seems frivolous because its faked. Sure they'd look pretty but we'd always remember why we had to do it-not like we had grreat pics and wanted extra.

I am trying to make the best of it but honestly sitting and crying seems like my best bet for awhile-god love waterpproof mascara,

Re: Upset

Maybe try taking them to a professional photographer who will make an album for you. Since you have them on CD they might be able to sharpen them up for you.
