Hi Ladies, hope you all enjoyed a beautiful day...
I'm trying to plan a little vacation for DH and I to go on the first week of August. We're looking to keep it down to about 2 grand if we can, preferably 5 to 7 nights.... any suggestions? We just don't want to go north or to Disney (love disney, but waaaay too crowded that time of yr!)

What type of things are you looking for? Would you want to stay local cause then you could do Montauk or somewhere out east, or even cape code or Nantucket (sp?)

We also suscribe to travelzoo.com cause they come out with some great deals as well.

I was gonna suggest Myrtle Beach or Atlantic City, or maybe Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun or Mystic, CT??? How about Montauk or the Hamptons...or Wildwood NJ??

Longbeach Island NJ. There are some really nice B&B's or rentals.
Beachhaven was nice and not to far of a drive. It is like a cross btwn Fireisland and the Hamptons.

What about Costa Rica? Right now they are having really great flight deals and you can stay at a nice hotel for pretty inexpensive there.

DH and I found a very reasonable price to go to bermuda leaving from bayonne NJ!!!
