Vacation Recs for me???

We want to go away in Dec with friends. We're looking for someplace warm and relaxing with things to do during the day. We are thinking Hawaii...but I know we're all going to hate the LONG flight.

What do you recommend?

Were going on a cruise from San Juan in Dec., but you prob dont want to do a cruise again b/c you did that for your HM.

The only place i can think of that warm to go to in Dec. is the carribean, Brazil, or Hawaii. Hawaii is really beautiful and its only 4 hours from CA. If you dont want to do the straight flight there you can stop in CA for a few days say hi to me and then go to Hawaii!

We're going to Playa Del Carmen in Jan.

I LOVED Puerta Vallarta....it is very rich in culture, but the baches are not that aqua water, if that is what you are looking for.

If you're looking for a quicker flight...I'd recommend Puerto Rico (4 hrs) or the Bahamas (only 2 hrs)

hehehe, cute. I have sooooooooooooooooo much family there - stoping in Cali means its going to turn into a 2 week trip of just saying hi to family and having them feed me

We did the Bahamas for our honeymoon. The flight was 2 hours, and there is a ton to do there. it was gorgeous and we had a total blast.

too far We did Europe for the HM and want to do something more local now

actually, hawaii is farther than spain..... and likely more $$$. Price the 2 out, you may be surprised....

otherwise, if you want to stay even closer, possibly the carribean, but do price it out. Dec may be peak season, and could be

it is...which is why I'm not sold on Hawaii yet.

December is a GREAT time for Costa Rica. Its a realy adventure.........rain forests on horse back, howling monkeys, dolphins, etc. Something to think about though. Right next to Belize.
CR is AMAZING.

My honeymoon spot was awesome...Excellence Riviera Cancun in the Mayan Riviera...hell you don't even have to leave! 8 amazing restaurants, tons of fun bars. But there's plenty of excursions to take. FM me if you want to know more. HTH!

just thought of another.....the Hyatt, in Aruba. Its great if you are going with friends....and not that far away.

nah, no bermuda in december. It's parallel to the carolinas, and is only in the 60's......
