Awesome! Try Priceline! We used to live 2 hours from there when we were in Pensacola. We used to always get the Marriott which is basically around the block from Bourbon and right by the Casinos and water for only 45 bucks a night!

That's great!!! Woo Hoo!!! Have you ever been to New Orleans? I went about 5 years ago...I don't think that Emeril's was open at the time or I didn't know anything about him at the time...but I am sooo jealous and would love to go to his restaurant!!!
Do you know where you'd like to stay...when I went I stayed at the Monteleone...really nice hotel...I don't recall how much we paid though.

There's another restaurant there...very romantic...I don't remember the exact name, but it was something like Two Sisters...you should try it out.

I love love love new orleans. This is the first year we aren't going in a while.
I can recommend the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel on St Louis Street. (not the omni crescent) It's a block from bourbon street and they run some great weekend deals. My sister is going next weekend $329 for 3 nights - it's a 4 star hotel.
I heard marvelous things about emeril's restaurant!
I am sure you have a list of must sees like the french quarter, the river walk, cafe du monde and Pat O'Briens dueling pianos.
