vday clothes question

DH & I are going to the Garden City Hotel for Valentines Day...they have a package with a room + dinner at their restaurant, Rein.

Is it overkill if I wear an evening gown to dinner? I've been dying for an excuse to wear one and I thought this might be a good occasion...but I don't want to look silly either.
