VENT: NYC TRAFFIC

I am so tired of wasting precious hours of my life sitting on the BQE or Gowanus Expressway. I had plans to go see my Mom and sister today and had to turn around and come home because of an overturned truck that closed two lanes of the BQE (which is practically like closing the entire highway because you just sit at a standstill...) at Atlantic Avenue-the LAST exit on the highway. I also knew the freakin' Gowanus would have construction and it would have taken me HOURS to travel to see them....and who knows about the belt-my last leg of the trip.

Now if this was a one time thing, or if I didn't drive this route so very often, i may have kept on going, but I was at the point where if I had had to spend one more second in traffic surrounded by gigantic trucks and staring at the SAME billboards that I stare at every single day, I was going to seriously lose it.

I can't wait for DH and i to move to Park Slope and my relationship with these wretched roadways will be over forever.

Ok, vent over.

no sh*t. It took me 40 minutes in a cab to get from the east side to the west side yesterday.
This city is insane right now....its too overcrowded.
I think that it is especially bad right now b/c the delegates were in town, and it backed up traffic all over the place.
