DH and I are debating if to go to Vermont...
has any of u been there??? He wants to go there for the snow... u know i guess snowboarding...
we never done that and I am not excited of it since Snow is my enemy... but i wanna make him happy also...

Vermont is a MAYBE since we want to go to Atlanta, GA too for different reasons...
but if we go to Vermont, any ideas where to go???

Thanks

It was a long trip i think 5 or 6 hours. But sooooo worth it. We left at 6am... and then arrived for lunchtime in vermont so it was perfect. We stayed at a bed and breakfast called the stone hill inn(http://www.stonehillinn.com/) but there are tons of places to stay.

Re: Vermont... Where???

I love Okemo for skiing - its a great mountain. Its also pretty close to Stratton which is another fun mountain. Stratton has its own little village of shops right at the base of the mountain. There is a beautiful old hotel in Manchester, VT called the Equinox and they have a great spa. Its also right down the road from a bunch of outlet stores. Its about 15 mins from Stratton and maybe 20 from Okemo. (Its a kind of pricey, but if you google Manchester Vt, I'm sure you can find others). Also, both Stratton & Okemo have hotels/condos right on the mountain and other ones close by. Its about 4 hours to Okemo, by car.

i think it was because there are lots of national parks up there and they are not big swimmers (unless its at a beach, like on a cruise) so since the water was colder, they didn't enjoy it. if you go when its winter and there is sno, i think it would be fun. I would love to go for a long weekend with DH to go snow tubing and being a snow bunny and drinking hot chocolate
