This isnt directed at you I am just saying that we stay away from certain topics b/c they are considered tacky and inconsiderate yet this one comes up constantly
As MeNBobs would say: lets post pictures of our rings and how much they cost
If that doesn't work we could talk about dogs in supermarkets.
Start a thread Cat!!! This one's getting repetitive... Department of Redundancy Department....

i agree, maybe consider a healthier thinspiration.
btw, just to address what a few have said about some people just being naturally this thin so get over it...thats true! but its not for her, she has spoken many many times on tv and interviews (and i have seen pictures) talking about how she has always struggled with her weight. she was not always rail thin. she was average to curvy before. she clearly has had to very restrictive to maintain this.
Yes but while we are looking at her saying she has an eating disorder there are those of us who ARE naturally that thin that get put in that group of 'people with eating disorders' and dont have one and never have. That is all, when talk is generally about people being too skinny any skinny person who has had numerous people say to them they are too skinny and need to eat will be offended by it.
Its a general thing-we dont sit here and rant and rave about people being extremely obese->why is that? b/c its rude...so lets switch up the topic and talk about skinny people.

peg- i can see every point you made. but i don't think anything i said had anything to do with your response though.
people essentially wrote that some ppl are naturally thin and leave them alone (i agree) but it was also implied that posh is one of those people. all i was saying is that she herself has said that isnt so and that she has really struggled with her weight. thats all.
What I was saying is that there are those of us who get 'grouped' into that so to hear people talk aobut it is offensive...not disagreeing with what you said just saying that I dont have an eating disorder yet still take the comments about them to heart

whooooaaa what did i miss today?!?!! lol drama drama... well i was one who responded earlier with one of the 'she's too thin' lines so i'm clarifying - YES there are plenty of naturally thing people - NO VB is not one of them and thats what this thread was about (or atleast what I myself was writing about). Nobody(atleast not any of us) pinned ANY of u naturally thin ladies in her group. like jess said - the woman talks about how she has a serious problem with her eating habits, and if u read up on her, watched interviews, etc. i'm sure u'd agree. love u all - if i offended anyone i apologize but i NEVER pegged anyone in a group. just pointed out that Beckham has a serious problem...

Agreed, no one 'pointed' anyone out as being like VB, but that isnt the issue. The issue is that there are girls on here who have had people tell them 'they are too skinny' 'do you have a problem' 'eat a sandwich' etc. so of course regardless of whether or not I or any of the other girls are pointed out we get offended by it b/c we have been in that position to be called TOO skinny.
I understand the VB has a problem-I and other girls dont but yet have been grouped into that by people so we automatically get ont he defensive.
Simple fact, if we sat here talking about celebrities who are heavy and said they were fat there would be an uproar on the boards...but yet none of us go there b/c its offensive....does that make sense?

I dont know how many times this topic can possibly come up on one friggin forum
For the last time, saying eat a sandwich is like telling a big girl to stop eating and lose weight...its rude and disrespectful. Ive stated if before...I AM one of those ridiculously thin girls so keep going on with the 'shes too thin' comments...I know 3 other girls that are on this board that are just as skinny as me if not skinnier. Its offensive. Not trying to be mean but the next friggin skinny thread IM going to lose it
i totally agree with you on this. I've been naturally thin my whole life and i've gotten comments like, 'do you ever eat?', 'you would look better if you gained some weight', etc.
It's just the way I'm made...i eat anything I want and I don't exercise that much...but I don't really gain weight. It's genetic. My mom is my height at 5'3'...and after two kids and at age 60, she weighs around 115 (her heaviest)...with the same exact eating and exercise habits as me.
But the comments I get are totally rude...and sometimes it surprises me to the point of speechlessness that people would actually think I would do that to myself.

yes - i totally understand and think it makes sense. If i posted a pic of a heavy celeb & said 'MY GOD IS SHE FAT - TAKE AWAY THE SANDWICH!!' there would be people who were offended, made uncomfortable, and rightfully so. And yep - i do think there are people on here who make comments that could be a little less..well - just worded nicer. I for one posted because the original poster stated that Beckham was her 'thinspiration'...THAT gets me upset & aggrivated because beautiful people look to people who are LEGITIMATELY (sp? )anorexic & has a major eating disorder as something to work towards..and in reality it's completely unhealthy, unnatural & unattractive... thats personally what I meant in my post and i'm sure you can see that..and i dont think this drama started over what i said lol (or atleast i hope not!) I agree that this subject does come up too much..... but i also agree think that some of us post in concern not in judgement. The other day i posted about jenna jameson saying that she's lost a tremendous amount of weight really fast, looks aweful & i feel really sorry for her. I'd post the same thing if it were the opposite & someone had gained weight into obesity. (hope i'm making sense???)...i'm not talking about a few less or a few extra pounds here or there - not just someone who's 'thin'..it's someone who is clearly showing they have problems, whether it be an eating disorder, a drug problem, depression etc. so yes - i know there are some who post & say other things, but in speaking solely for myself, i for one have usually only posted in concern...not just posting a pic and saying 'she's far too thin - give her some food' lol. hope this is understood! luv u!

Exactly I understand the cause for concern b/c OP worded it as if she wants to be like her...it just burns me to hear b/c there are those of us out there who are called those kinds of things when there is no problem.

totally hear u! just wanted to make it clear that i just post concern in regards to the poor celebs who emaciate themselves by starving themselves or doing coke! lol and i'm not pegging them in a category either - 'cause i'll never ASSUME someone does coke or has a disorder - u usually just find that sh*t out... but i'll never just comment on someone who's naturally thin. in fact my best friend & my cousin are two of the thinnest people i know & they're gorgous & fabulous! i've never said a word about anyone in that category - because honestly u can tell the difference!! some people are just idiots & they dont keep their mouth shut & feel it's their place to tell u to gain some weight....ignore them..they're jealous lol.
